A couple of days after the last chapter.

"It's gone!" Aphmau yelled tears streaming down her face, "He is too!" She came up to me yelled and crying.

"Aphmau, calm down... What and who is gone." I told her rubbing her back comforting her, it hurt me seeing her like this.

"The divine fragment and Aaron! Both of them gone!" She sniffed a little regaining herself. "Please help me look" I nodded and yelled that it would be okay as I sprinted off to look around. I came to our market place where I saw Katelyn searching through some crates.

"Katelyn!" I yelled walking towards her quickly, "Uhh hey!"

"Hmm oh hey Auria!" She gave me half a smile, "Found anything?"

"No, I only just started looking..." I said glumly and I began to go through the crates with Katelyn beside me. "So..." I started still rummaging through the crates of stuff no orbs in sight. "You were a Jury Of Nine member who worked for," I paused to suppress a shudder, "Zane?"

"Yes I was..." She murmured back to me, "Found anything?"

"Nope" I shook my head.

"Katelyn, Auria, anything?" Katelyn and I looked up to see Aphmau running down to us.
"Nothing, We have searched the whole island for both Aaron and any traces of the fragment.... Emmalyn and Kenmur haven't seen them either." Katelyn replied looking at Aphmau with concern.

Aphmau stood back breathing heavy, "T-this can't be happening! Why would he do this! Why would he take the fragment? He was acting so weird before he took it... He maybe he-" she began crying letting out sobs.

"Aphmau" I said taking a step forward to comfort her. "It's only been a day he could appear anytime now. He wouldn't abandon you or Lilith now would he?" I turned around to see Katelyn nodding behind me.

"I agree it has only been a day, just a day... He could appear anytime now."

Aphmau looked at us with anger, "How do you know?"

Katelyn defended us, "We don't, it's just to early to assume anything.... Do not get me wrong what he's done is terrible and he MUST be questioned... But let's not panic until we have more news. Just take a deep breath and reflect you knew Aaron better than anyone else here."

Aphmau took a deep breath and spoke quietly, "You're right... Aaron has always had good intentions-" Not always... "It's just he was acting so weird and I'm afraid that-"

"MOMENT! LADY KATELYN! OTHER MISS!" A man around 20 was running over the hills and towards us. Oh it's Malachi I slightly remember him when he was sleeping in that room, obviously he doesn't remember me though 'Other Miss' no one else is allowed to call me that ever again.

Aphmau turned to look at him, "Uh Malachi? What are you doing here!"

He was panting hard and looked as if he had just run from Scaleswind to Meteli, "I- Have some- bad news..." He panted leaning on his knees.

"Catch your breath, what happened?" Katelyn asked him.

"It's Mikai and the refugees..." He panted again, "t-they"

Aphmau cut in, "Breathe Malachi, breathe. What happened?" Malachi stopped leaning on his knees and took a deep breath.

Then he began to speak, "Mikai and the refugees were apparently they were attacked by some Tu'la troops."

"W-what?" Aphmau stuttered, "Are they okay?"

He continued, "The refugee caravan has some injuries, but a lot of the resistance fighters took the brunt of the attack, defending while everyone escaped."

Katelyn burst out with rage, "Attacking refugees?!? That's HORRIBLE! I can't believe Tu'la troops would do something so low."

Malachi nodded, "Absolutely. It makes me sick. the remaining refugees managed to make it to Phoenix Drop, but things are a mess. Levin is doing his best to situate the refugees, but we need more people. Will you and the others come help?"

"I'll come now," I offered Aphmau about to intervene but I continued, "It would be good to have someone come help immediately. You trust me to help them, don't you Aphmau?"

"Yes," She said nodding, "Having a guardian like you there to help would definitely help. Take Auria for now, I'll gather up a few more people to come help..."

"Okay Mom, let's go Auria..." I followed him off giving Aphmau and Katelyn one last wave.

After a bit of walking

Our feet sunk slightly into the bright green grass as we made our way to the portal. "What did mom mean about a 'guardian' like you?"  Malachi asked me.

"Nothing" I chirped, "she meant nothing."

"Are you her guard now?" He glanced hopefully at me.

"No" I replied, he growled slowly and we walked in silence for a couple more minutes.

"No but what are you?" He asked again.

"Shut up!" I hissed at him.

"NO NOT UNTIL YOU EXPLAIN THIS!" He yelled, turning to face me and stopping.

"Well I'm not going too!" I yelled back glaring at him through slits and I walked straight pass him angrily.

"Are you kidding me?" He yelled back. I heard his footstep pound along the ground as he tried to catch up to me.

I felt like lashing out at him, but restrained myself. "No, it's none of your business what I am!"

Malachi had finally managed to catch up and yelled, "It is because your helping my village." I breathed a sigh of relief because just up ahead lay the tree that had the portal in it.

"Oh look the portal!" I yelled and ran off to the tree without him.
