Chapter 8~ What Zane Can Do

A flash spend across the gloomy sky lasting for only a mere mili second. Soon an down pour of rain began heaving on our shoulders as we treaded through the forest hoping that we would reach some sought of shelter soon as a grumble sounded over the forest.
"When will we reach shelter?" Hikari yelled over the spluttering rain.
"Soon, I hope" I called back.
We walked in silence for a couple more minutes luckily neither of our shoulders stood bare.
"Is that smoke?" Hikari gasped pointing at no where particular in the sky.
"Uh I can't see it." I said squinting at the direction she pointed at.
"Over there" she shook her arm a little trying as hard as ever for me to see it.
"Nope, still can't see it..."
She sighed and started running through the forest.
"This way follow me!"
I followed unwillingly.
We stopped at the edge of a river my first instinct was to kneel and drink. But when I did spat out fur,
"Ewww don't drink the water it's polluted with fur..." I groaned
Hikari without warning dove into the fur invested water and swam. She didn't look up and say
"The waters great!" She just swam I looked toward the other side closely and gasped. Smoke rose from a small chimney that stood proud on a cottage accompanied by many, many, many kitty cats! I laughed then followed Hikari into the water. When we had reached the cat island, I noticed the rain still pouring of my head. I was soaking. So was Hikari. We were soaking together. We laughed as one of the cats came to rub against us.
"How kawaii!" I cried
"I know!" Hikari replied
We didn't even seem to notice how heavy the rain was pouring when cats came into the picture.
"Hmmm should we see who's inside the house, if anyone?" I suggested getting up and going to the door.
Hikari got up in agreement and stood behind me as I gently knocked on the door. No answer. I knocked again. No answer. I shook the door handle and the door swung open. We walked in dripping everywhere and scavenging for towels or blankets when we stumbled upon 2 people a man and a girl both our age. They grabbed us and dragged us to their boat which I had missed before. I just walked along with them but Hikari struggled fiercely screaming and kicked. The man growled at her and shook their hands as we were thrown onto the boat.
"Hjdbehmanjshushjwnjnajnu" Hikari screamed through her cloth.
I didn't have one because I was not screaming.
"Calm down. Please." I asked her, she listened shot me a glare then settled biting at the gag.
I laughed then settled down to sleep, feeling the water droplets fall down my shoulders... Maybe someone would get us dry? I could feel my eyes drift heavily down as they fell together in a slumber.

Dream-Auria
I saw a man standing on a shelf he was small I started running but didn't go far. Zane appeared in front of me yelling and screaming. He had blood splattered everywhere, on him he whore a sickening grin. I screamed. Ran but couldn't he walked towards me holding a knife now. I shivered, bloody feet trampled me to the ground as I yelled and screamed laying helplessly on the gravel pathway. My back covered in Crimson blood. Shaking a grabbed a dead body next to me holding it up for protection. Zane was behind me and stabbed me multiple times weakening my power he drained out it painfully. Causing my body to twitch uncontrollably
OverWorld- Auria
I woke up with a start, breathing heavily and sweating. Looking across at Hikari who slept peacefully I brushed back a piece of hair off of my face and lay back down. Resting and rolling over onto my side and closing my eyes. I couldn't sleep, that dream, no nightmare. Zane, blood, death, power, pain and twitching. I would never forget that.

The sun rose slowly above the horizon I yawned and rubbed my eyes blinking out the sleep. Hikari was up already her bed was neatly made. I got up and made my bed keeping the image of Zane out of my mind. Why me? Why Zane? High Priest of Ok'hasis? Why? Why? Why? I sighed and went up on the deck where Hikari stood her hair waving gently in the strong ocean breeze she was looking over the rail and holding on as we sailed across the ocean.
"Hikari? Are you okay?" I walked up to her and held on to the rail next to her.
She turned to look at me, "Yes I'm fine." She paused and looked out at the ocean, "it's just been ages since I've sailed across the sea. I want to just dive in feel the warm water take over my body feel the salt burn my eyes, I want to feel the waves whip across my head. And worst of all, I don't know why! Ever since I found you there has been a sence of adventure in everything we do and I love it! It's amazing! I don't know!" Tears began to form in her eyes.
"Hard to explain huh?" She nodded
"Very hard"
"Don't stress, it's fine I get that sensation when ever I see Aphmau and my heart worries whenever a shadow knight is nearby..." I sighed
"Auria look! Land! Wait... Is that Pheonix Drop?"
A man our age shouted over the wheel, "Phoenix Drop is just up ahead Alexis!"
A girl around our age shouted back, "Really? Oh okay Kyle!"
"Check Michi's friends! Alexis!"
"Okay!"
Alexis walked up to us smiling with cute coral hair and a little bow, her pink eyes shining with delight.
"We are nearly back at Pheonix Drop where we shall take you to whomever is in charge at the moment, so what are your names?" She asked us happily.
"I'm Hikari, this is Auria from the Irene dimension!"
"Really? The Irene dimension! Did Zoey save you from there too?!?" She asked me enthusiastically
"No" I shook my head "I jumped on top of Aphmau whilst she was visiting Garroth and now I live here! I'm a guardian of that dimension so... I have some of Irene's powers"
Alexis's eyes were wide.
"Wow, you've gone through a lot, I have to though when I was little a man called Zane turned me into a shadow knight using a relic, I'm not one anymore though. I was in a coma for ages as an adult it was crazy. But Aphmau saved my life and so did Zoey otherwise I would've missing a large chunk of my childhood. My brother, Brian was also a traitor who basically kidnapped Nicole and caused a huge war nearly killing everyone."
I was shocked my jaw dropped in amazement, Hikari looked just as shocked as I did.
"Alexis that's terrible, I'm so sorry" Hikari apologised for no reason.
"Why are you apologising Hikari?" Alexis asked "it's not your fault"
"Wait a minute, Zane? He turned you into a shadow knight using a relic?" I asked
Alexis nodded.
"He could do that to anyone then!" I shouted "WE NEED TO STOP HIM NOW!!!"
