Chapter 11~ Fake Love

"Travis! Travis!" I cried as I ran towards Travis who lay motionless on the ground, only the slow motion of his chest rising and falling made me sure he was alive. I gave Aphmau, who still stood looking at Travis a teary stare.
"Why? Aphmau, how could you?!?" I whimpered at her, I began tearing up with disbelief.
"Auria, you don't understand... I-I-I have to do this, for Levin, Malachi and Zoey." She gave me one last apologetic stare and turned, "Auria, if I need you you will know." Then she raced off after the girl with my necklace into the forest towards the mountain.
"Well you might not get my help..." I whispered after her as she ran away, I turned back towards Travis and ran towards him and knelt beside his side. "Why did she do this to you?" I looked at him, he looked adorable knocked out. I mean no, no he didn't. Although his eyes are perfect the emerald comes out of his spirit as well as his beautiful eyes. Is that our inn? I looked at the building that we were next to, it was our inn! Hurray! I got up and screamed at the top of my lungs,
"LLLLAAAAAUUURRRREEEEENNNNNCCCEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!! GET YOUR BUTT DOWN HERE!!!" I could here a grumble when soon Laurence walked around the corner.
"What happened to Travis? And why are you sitting beside him?" He asked me, almost stepping back.
"Aphmau knocked him out when he went to get my necklace that he'd given me,." I told him frankly.
"And you sitting beside him?" He continued the question.
"Do you really need to know?" I rolled my eyes, he just gave me a stare. "I was worried that's all"
He shook his head sarcastically, "Sure, Sure"
I growled at him, "Let's just take him inside." I pointed at Travis and Laurence nodded.
We carried Travis inside and placed him on the bed under Katelyns. And I clambered up onto my bed. Laurence came up as well.
"Aphmau came here too..." He looked down at his drawer. "She's a thief joining the thief guild, and she needed something worth diamond value and I gave her something worth that."
I shrugged my shoulders smiling at him, "when are you going to make your move?"
"What move?"
"You know Aphmau"
"WHAAA I'm her guard not her lover!"
"Naww but I totally ship you guys!"
"How do you know about us?"
"I just do"
"What about you and Travis?"
"Well we did go for a walk this afternoon"
"That's more than I can give Aphmau... Stupid Garroth"
"Garroth? Really! I knew he was the other one!"
"How do you know Garroth?"
"I meet him and Aphmau when ever we visit the Irene dimension"
Soon the door creaked open then shut, Laurence and I went silent. Looking at the door as the shadow crept along the wall with the noise of footsteps and slight breathing.
"No one is here, good" The shadow said calmly, talking to themselves. A shiver flew down my spine and I crept a bit closer to to the ladder. Closer, closer, and I was there. I carefully took each step with precaution as the shadow stopped creeping along the wall.
"Aaron?" Laurence spoke and I fell of the ladder hitting my arm against the bedside table and banging my head on the wall with a loud thump.
"Owww" I let out a short cry before Aaron said anything.
"Laurence! Travis! And whoever just fell off the bed." He said to himself, "I should've come earlier, maybe no one would've been here!" He walked up and sat on the bed which we had kept for him.
"I'm the person who fell off the bed" I stood up and flipped my hair over my shoulder sassily.
He looked at me in awe but then just got up and went to Travis.
"What's up with him?"
"Aphmau knocked him out" Laurence replied as frankly as I had done.
"Aphmau? I just saw her..."
"Well it was this afternoon... About 5 hours ago."Laurence replied
"5, so he's been knocked out for a while huh."
Laurence and I nodded, "Yes, a long while!"
"Well then I'm going to bed goodnight..." Aaron said and went downstairs to get changed.
After that no one saw Aaron
"Wa-a-ere am I?" Travis slowly rose his head nearly hitting the roof.
"Travis? Oh my your awake!" I ran towards him and swung my arms to cling around head neck and his hair. He looked at me with his beautiful green eyes and I looked back. It was clear we were in love, the was going to be a wedding and my life would be complete! Eeeeeee Hikari needs to fan girl with me! Where is she anyways?
"Travis, Auria, I know your in love but can you stop hugging each other!" Laurence cut in my happy thoughts. Travis laughed.
"You think we're in love? Bah! You thought wrong!" He pushed me off and turned his back away from me as I slid onto" the floor. My life was ruined, he didn't think we were in love? But what about the necklace? And the smiles? Had he just been faking?
Travis walked out of the room as tears slid from the corners of my eyes.
"He's done it before, he can certainly manipulate people." Laurence stood looking at me as I burst into tears. He slid down beside m and hugged me as I cried.
"Who to? I sniffled
"Aphmau"
"How?"
"He told her if she made out with him she would know the way around the cursed sea."
"Huh okay."
"Look Auria, he does love you, I can see it in the glint in his eye..."
"Like that glint you have when you talk to Aphmau..."
"Aphmau's right here!" Katelyn burst into the room smirking, Travis behind her and behind him Aphmau. She gave Laurence a cute wave and proceeded towards a the middle of the room.
"Guys you've heard right?" Aphmau asked us.
"What?" Laurence, Travis and I said in unison.
"About O'kahsis being attacked, we have to leave immediately! Find out a route to get to Phoenix Drop whilst I find Vylad and Aaron!" Aphmau ran out slamming the door behind her.
"Umm, what was that?" Hikari opened the door and walked in.
"Aphmau, we have to leave immediately, you traveled," Katelyn said pointing to Hikari and I, "We need a fast route not by boat back to Pheonix Drop"
"There is the Sacred Forest it grows rightin the middle of this region." I told them,"But it's dangerous we might get lost or just end up here again."
"We'll take our chances, let's go meet Aphmau and leave." We all ran out, grabbing our things including Aphmaus, Vylads, and Aaron's.
I quickly thanked the bar keep as we sprinted out the door. Hikari came and grabbed my hand as we sprinted out, she turned and gave me a bright smile.
"We're always on the run!" She gave my hand a squeeze.
"I know!" I replied returning the squeeze.
Laurence stood talking to Aphmau as the rest of us went to the forest. She had an extremely worried look on her face, panicked as Hikari and I sprinted towards to the forest. I pulled us to a stop, and Hikari looked at me confused.
"Laurence I'll be quick just let me go find him."
"No Aphmau you can't!"
"I CANT LOOSE HIM!!" Aphmau screamed going to run off.
"I CANT LOOSE YOU!!" Laurence yelled back and grabbed her hand basically begging her to stay. Aphmau started to crack, her eyes wide with worry yet fire blazed through them. Laurence had kindness in his also with worry. She gave in and ran to the forest slipping her hand out of Laurence's and ran into the forest not looking back.
"Aphmau... I'm sorry..." He whispered tears escaping from his eyes.
"Laurence come on!" I yelled as Hikari and I ran for the forest again.
"Laurmau better not sink" Hikari snickered to me as we ran into the forest.
Yes it better not.
We disappeared into the cursed forest not knowing if we'd make it out, alive or dead.
