Hikari smiled deviously at me and took a step closer drawing her sword. She took another I felt my breathing quicken in fear. She took another, now only three steps away panic hit. Another! Oh no! Run! The words sped through my mind. I scrambled out of the cave running up to Blizzard I ripped the rope out of the wall. The wall collapsed into bits of stone and hay. Ameera reared up and sprinted off just as I jumped on Blizzard and began to ride away. I turned back to see Hikari appear out of the cave running towards Ameera and jumping on the frightened horse's back. I slowed down, she wasn't in her shadow knight form. I let Blizzard walk slowly towards her and Ameera so we could begin riding together.
"Did I scare you?" She asked me as we turned to ride together.
I widened my eyes, "What?" I stared at her confused.
"Well, did I scare you in my shadow knight form!" She replied smiling as the horses walked slowly along in the forest.
"Yes! You did! Wait... You were just trying to scare me?" I nearly went and punched her off of her horse.
She nodded smiling. "All right! Now guess how many years I've been a shadow knight!"
"Umm 1?" I guessed.
"Nope wrong!"
"101" I guessed again.
"Wrong again!" She grinned as I guessed a couple more times.
"How many?" I finally asked as Brightport walls began to stretch in front of me.
"91" she replied smiling.
Wait... That's means she would've been there when the enemy Shadow Knights attacked! I gulped, I had to ask her now...
"W-were you one of th-" I began.
"One of the attacking shadow Knights that killed everyone in your realm and causing the rest to flee? No I had escaped the Nether ages before that." Hikari finished for me cutting in. I sighed relief and began settling back down onto Blizzard. But the gates of a village caught my eye.
"Brightport!" I gasped pointing towards the village. Hikari smiled and we sped up the horses on ward to Brightport.
They were very kind and let us borrow a ship back over the sea to Phoenix Drop and we got there in a flash. Soon we were walked on the wooden deck of the dock in Phoenix Drop waving our thanks as the ship we'd sailed over on. There was a larger vessel pulling into the dock Aphmau stood on top letting her hair blow gently in the sea breeze. They docked well and Aphmau jumped off running over to give us a tight hug.
"Hi! Where have you guys been!" Aphmau squealed.
"We missed the ride over here!" Hikari joked squeezing herself out of the hug.
"We had to ride to Brightport and then leave our horses and catch a boat over here" I explained.
"I'm so glad you made it, we're setting off on our trip to the Irene island tomorrow at around dawn." Aphmau reported.
We smiled to Aphmau and began our trip to where we would sleep.
Another journey coming our way... I couldn't wait!
