I gripped the sword as the leather scraped at my palm. The metal of the two swords clung together causing a deafening chink. Pushing on and on Hikari and I fought desperately sparring till our arms fell off. I watched as the sword she held slipped out of her hand as I struck a hard blow on it.
She back away arms in the air surrendering but laughing at the same time, "Alright you win! You win!"
"Good," I replied, "I was hoping I wouldn't have to do anything forcefully!" I chuckled.
"Aaron was smart to think of this... Glad he told us I was kinda bored..." Hikari picked up her sword and flung it into the air and catching it skilfully in her right.
"I wonder if he told Aphmau? And if he did where are they all?" I wonder out loud.
"He probably did." She scowled,"Aarmau can't happen though..."
"I agree, Aarmau can't happen! LAURMAU WILL BE VICTORIOUS!!" I yelled holding my sword up into the air. It was a Iron sword encrusted with Emerald and rubies on the blade. Sadly it didn't have anything as much power as my Irene Guardian one.
"Yes! LAURMAU WILL BE VICTORIOUS!!" Hikari exclaimed holding her sword into the light. Her sword was an obsidian sword with rubies and amethyst gradiented into the sword. The jewels glowing in the sunlight.
"Can you hear something?" Hikari asked me, pricking my ears I heard a sound like a comet was falling to earth. Looking to Pikoro Lucinda's house was fading.
"They're leaving!" I cried pointing to the fading house.
"N-n-no they can't be!" Hikari exclaimed unbelievingly. He face turned pale as she looked at flashing house. Instinctively she sprinted after it with tears streaming down her face. I followed her feeling my legs twist in agony as we sprinted after the home. With a flash it was gone.
"Now what do we do?" I asked myself.
"I don't know..." She sat down on the ground resting her face in her hands.
"You could travel back the same way you came..." A young woman stood in front of us. "You travelled with Aphmau did you not?"
"We did." I answered.
"I'll lend you two horses and you may travel back on them, if you wish to go back..." The young woman replied.
Hikari looked up from her hands, "Thank you we would really appreciate that" she sniffled.
I nodded and the woman beckoned for us to follow her. We did. She led us back to Pikoro where two horses stood neighing. One was pure white and the other was mostly brown with speckles of white.
"This is Ameera," she pointed to the Brown and white one, "And this is Blizzard" she said motioning to the White one. "You may take these and keep them..." Hikari let out a squeal and I thanked her excitedly. She nodded to us and walked off.
"I want Ameera!" Hikari squealed running up to the brown and white horse.
"Good because you weren't getting Blizzard!" I patted Blizzard gently on the mane as they saddled him. They were saddling Ameera too. I smiled, at least we were going to get home in a day or two.We were riding off in matter of seconds back to our home. There was no more snow along the path and horses seemed to enjoy that, they rode happily along with us steering them towards Pheonix drop. The clumping of hooves sounded along the grass and the waft of fresh flowers could be smelled from miles away. Just beautiful, really beautiful.
"I hope we get back soon..." Hikari muttered under the clumping.
"So do I..." I muttered back.
"We haven t been hanging out recently who have you been with and what has been happening?" She asked me as the horses veered tightly around a corner.
"Umm Laurence, Aphmau, Travis, you know the general people..." I replied, nearly toppling off Blizzard. "What about you?"
"I've been alone most of time practicing these weird magicks I got..." She looked at Ameera refusing to turn her head up.
"What magicks?" I questioned her. Since when did Hikari have magicks?
"Oh just fire and-" she muttered the rest so I couldn't hear her.
"Uh fire nice, there's a corner! Quick make sure you don't fall off!" I clutched the reigns tightly making sure didn't fall off as we steered very tightly around the corner. She smiled then kept on riding.
"That reminds me where did all these trees come from?" I felt my hands start slipping from the reigns as they went at ease again into a loose grip. She just shrugged off my question and kept riding. She really doesn't seem the same, I haven't really been paying much attention, didn't see her until, before we sparred... That means she's been gone for a good 3 days. My mind was racing... What had happened? I couldn't tell her aura because I'd been here in this world for to long! I was actually kind of glad auras sucked. They really did.
"The wolf village is just up ahead." Hikari stated out of the blue as the trees began to lessen miraculously.
"Oh really that means we're getting close." I whispered to myself. She hopped off Ameera and tied her up to a nearby wall. I hopped off after her and tied Blizzard up to the same wall. Hikari ran straight towards a dip in the mountain face. Where was she going? I quickly followed her hearing tight breathing as I entered the dip.
Hikari was standing in in front a portal, she was wearing a jacket with a pattern that looked like... Obsidian? And a skirt which was a deep blood red. She turned to face me. I gasped,
"N-n-no, Hikari... You can't be!"
She smiled, "Oh yes I can be! I can just feel the power from this nether portal!"
He eyes were glowing red and holding her usual sword except what I thought were rubies took over.
H-h-h-how! She was a shadow knight!
Save me Irene...
