I saw a group of people standing in a circle, consisted of many light and dark haired people. I gasped when I saw a distant familiar face that, to be honest, I had not seen in ages. Hikari, stood there, her face seemed oddly serious, especially for the Hikari I had grown to love. I ran forward pushing through the circle and jumping on her neck and crying with happiness, not quite knowing where all the emotion had come from.
"W-" I hiccupped, tears streaming down my face, "W-where h-have you been?" She gave me an apologetic smile and getting up pulled me away from the group. Vylad turned with a confused face and she motioned towards me, he suddenly seemed to understand.
"Calm down," she said brushing her hand across my face getting rid of the tears, "I've been with Vylad. Lauranc-"
"-What happened to Laurance?!?" I asked her desperately.
"H-he is getting something we call, 'The Calling', it's where you get this pull to go back to the nether, losing a lot of emotion. Vylad and I are keeping a good eye on him, shhh- he'll be fine." Grabbing my hand she pulled me back to the conversation reluctantly. I stopped crying rubbing my eyes to see Aphmau looking at me smiling, was she? Yes. I looked her up and down. Could she possibly? No. Yes? Suddenly a pain shot through me, my feet collapsed suddenly under the weight of my body. What was happening? Screaming of passed guardian flashed in my head, I could see them eyes open each as a shadow knight killed them slowly.
The swing of a sword and a sharp sudden pain in my back. Blinded by a vision, still hearing screaming, that didn't seem to die down. Now sitting in a wet puddle, lying down now, No more screaming of guardian's just the screaming of my good friends, why were they screaming? Unsure, I tried to stand, yet my body wouldn't listen to me, my eyes still flashed a vision, every guardian smiled as they died. I hadn't seen this, I was hidden. The vision was gone, it was dark. Dark. But my eyes still open, I tried again to stand but my body just stung, it felt lifeless, I couldn't move anything. I heard a scream of young Aphmau, "Laurence! How could you! You killed your sister!" I felt a presence, my lady, Irene. Had she finally come to protect us from the Knights? I smiled slightly and the darkness consumed me, perhaps this was the end.
