Third Person POV

Everyone has been waiting for this day. Celestia was not an exception. She was asked to make a speech, because she was the one who scored the highest in the exam.

After nervously waiting for days, the important day has finally arrived.

Her blonde curls was on a fishtail braid, she used light blue eye shadow and light makeup.

"Cel!" Joanne rushed over towards her. "You look fabulous!" She blushed. "Thanks, you too. I'm nervous." Celestia said quickly.
"You shouldn't be. We all passed!" Joanne said.

"No, it's not that. Its the speech, the damn speech!" Celestia whined. "You have completed it, haven't you?" Joanne questioned.

"Of course I have!" Celestia exclaimed, looking a little bit offended. "What person do you think I am?"

Kimberly Calvin was spotted by both Celestia and Joanne, and they waved her over. "Hey, girls." She said, she oozed confidence.

"Hey, Kimberly." Joanne and Celestia chorused. Principal Yvonne stepped on the podium, smiling brightly.

"Congratulations to all of you, for passing the final exam." Everyone clapped. "And now, its time for the Top Three to make their speech."

Celestia's heartbeat went rapid, faster than ever. She was nervous, and her face went pale.

"Miss Celestia Harolds, please come forward."

Celestia steadied her breathing walked to the podium, her posture straight, her eyes forward. She too, oozed confidence, even though she was shaking on the inside.

She tapped the microphone once before giving a bright smile.

"Hi, everyone," she said. "This is going to be a little awkward, because I'm not that good at speech making," she said, and the crowd laughed lightly.

"But, there are some points that I have to tell you. No matter how great you are, you all have some problems you have to solve. No matter how perfect your life is, you all have some problems that you have to face."

She stared at everyone with seriousness on her face, and everyone paid attention.

"This is old advice, but, you all have to face your problems, not run from it."

Celestia took a deep breath.

"I'll admit, I run away from my problems a lot. Count on it. I don't have enough courage to face it. I can't even talk about it, I walk away when they talk about it. I felt scared. I was a coward.

"But then I learned, running away from problems just causes more problems." Celestia laughed a bit.

"Its difficult, I know. And its easier said than done. But, as much as you want to avoid it, you can't. It's like you are in a labyrinth, trying to find your way out. On the first exit, you find a snake. You run. Second exit, you find a terrorist with a gun. You run. On the last exit, you find an assassin, ready to kill. You run. Then, if you keep running, will you ever find your way out?"

Everyone listened, some were even deep in thought.

"We all face problems everyday. Scores, burdens, other people, we get envious." She stared at each and every one of the people, catching someone's eye; Matthew.

"But being envious is no use. To face it, we have to study more. We learn what made that person achieve where you don't. Learn what made you less, what made you weaker. Cover that with your strengths. Then. You can do whatever you want. Face it. Face if you're less. Then try to be more."

Celestia did a little curtsy, and the field boomed with claps.

The field thundered with claps, and Celestia blushed. And for the first time, Principal Yvonne smiled at her.

Principal Yvonne pulled her into a warm embrace, making Celestia surprised.

But she hugged back.

"Congratulations, Celestia." Principal Yvonne whispered in the hug. "I'm proud of you," Celestia smiled. She had finally earned the respect that she had yearned to get from Principal Yvonne.

"Thank you." Celestia stepped down from the podium, and Eugene Willows rose from his seat and went to the podium.

Celestia wandered around, after the event finished. "Surprise, babe." A deep voice said from behind her. Celestia spun on her heels, and saw Christopher Alden standing, smile wide, arms open.

"Chris!" Celestia squealed and ran to his open arms. She buried her head on his chest. "I saw you up there," he said happily. "I'm proud of my beautiful girlfriend." Celestia blushed.

"Did you do a speech in your school?" Celestia asked him, pulling away from the embrace. "Yes, I was in second place." Kissing him on the cheek, Celestia grinned.

"That's great!"

"Well, I need to book a flight." Christopher said. "Flight?" I asked, curiously. "For what?"

"Celebrating your graduation!" He said, like it was the most obvious thing in the world. As he went on the phone, Celestia's parents hugged her.

"Hey mom, dad," she said happily. "We're so proud of you, Cel. So proud." Her father said, and her mother kissed her forehead.

"I suppose, Chris told your for his plan. We planned it." Celestia's mother said brightly.

"Amazing! Where will it be?" Celestia bounced with excitement.

"Nope, we won't tell you. It'll ruin the surprise."

Christopher seemed to hear their conversation, so he just held her on arms length, and said, "just pack for a week's travel." He said.

Then, the girls came, along with Matthew. "Guess what?" Celestia asked excitedly. Matthew's ears perked up, and so did the other girls.

"What? Tell us, tell us!" Dominique squealed.

"My boyfriend and I are going to celebrate out of the country!" Celestia squealed.

The girls began screaming in excitement. "Just the two of you?" Stella confirmed. Celestia nodded with a bright smile, and they all squealed together.

Matthew clenched his fists.

Damn you, Alden.
