Third Person POV

Just as the lingering love in the situation couldn't brush off, the chatty nurse, whose name was 'Ella' as seen in her name tag, came in, her face grim.

"So?" Matthew asked loudly, with a rude look. "How is she?"

Ella looked down, and gave out a light whisper. "I'm so sorry.. But Aimee is diagnosed with leukemia."

Vera and Beth burst into tears, and their husbands whispered comforting words.

Celestia's eyes were wide, and it became emotionless. "No." She muttered. "You're joking."

"I'm not." Ella said sympathetically at the younger girl. "I'm so, so sorry."

Celestia didn't expect to cry so slowly. She buried her head on Matthew chest, and he embraced her so tightly it could break her ribs.

"I can't lose her," Matthew said quietly, his eyes rimmed with tears.

Celestia looked up, sharing a similar sad look.

"I can't lose her, too."

**

Even though Celestia got the role, and her friends bought her a large, good cup of chocolate ice cream, nothing could make her happier.

"Tell us." Stella finally demanded.

"Its Matthew's secret." Celestia hissed venomously, getting sick of the questions.

"And I will respect his privacy."

And she stomped away.

Celestia got especially close with Kiki, Joanne and Dominique. But none of them knew the Aimee situation. Most of the time, Celestia would eat lunch with Matthew.

Every time is gaze would go distant and cover up with tears, Celestia would give him a soft, understanding look and squeeze his hand.

"Cel," Matthew whispered, just as Celestia finished eating her fries.

"Yes?" She asked gently, staring at his dull, frightened eyes. "What if Aimee doesn't make it?"

She gave him a stern look.

"She will. Aimee is a fighter, Matthew. She's so full of joy, full of love, full of all the radiating enthusiasm we see in her everyday. And we will believe in her, have faith in her that she'll make it through."

Celestia said sternly, and gave him a weak smile, but it didn't reach her eyes.
Then, Charlotte walked towards them.

"Ms. Regina made me tell you guys that there's going to be rehearsal today." She said, and gave the couple a sympathetic look.

She didn't know what were they going through, but she knew it affected both of them drastically.

"Thanks, Lotte." Celestia gave her a fake smile.

"Stay strong, you two." Charlotte said sadly, and left.

Matthew and Celestia made their way to the rehearsal room, hand in hand. Some of the time, she would sigh and rest her head on his shoulder.

They were both worried.

A whole new world..

Celestia sang half-heartedly, but it was still good.

Come on, she thought to herself. Get your head back in the game.

"Celestia!" Ms. Regina called, strutting over to Celestia, her arms crossed. "What is going on with you? You're not exactly concentrating. You're a great singer. A great actress. But you need to get your head in the game. Now, tell me. You and Matthew. What's going on?"

Celestia stared at Matthew with a pleading look, and he stared at her with a look that said, tell her.

"Okay, Ms. Regina, how do I say this gently.." Ms. Regina looked at Celestia with a gentle face.

"What is it?"

"Matthew's sister, Aimee. She's diagnosed with leukemia."

Ms. Regina's jaw dropped.

"Oh!" She gasped, and choked. "Well, so that's why.. I'll give you guys a free rehearsal week. Please make sure she feels better." Ms. Regina said kindly.

"Thank you." Matthew said weakly.

"OKAY! WE'RE DONE!" Ms. Regina yelled, and Matthew grabbed Celestia's hand, pulling her away.
