Third Person POV
Niall Horan was incredibly confused. Last week, Matthew and Celestia were kind of friends, maybe acquaintances. So much for that, yesterday, Matthew even came to him bouncing around that he just kissed her.
But today, they were avoiding each other. When Matthew tried to 'eye contact' her, she would look at him in disgust and look away. "Oh God, Matt. What's gotten into you? What did you do?" He finally confronted his friend.
"Niall, man, I messed up everything. Like everything, I totally ruined it." He said sadly. "What do you mean? Didn't you just kissed her yesterday? And you said she kissed back? That's nice, isn't it?"
"No, yesterday I accidentally texted her about us, and she just didn't respond for some time, then she said it's can't be now, and-" "dude, you totally made it worse." Niall cut off.
"Thanks a lot, Niall," he said sarcastically. "Sorry, but seriously. You told me you hurt her and she does cuts because of you. Now, you suddenly want her to be your girlfriend after just one kiss? God, Matt." He explained.
"I know, but still-" "But still, it's wrong. And you gotta make it up to her." Niall pressed. "How? Say sorry? She's stubborn, man. I know her for five years and even though this last three years we weren't close, I still know that she's not a person who would react nicely if we say sorry after a big mistake." Matthew said immediately.
"So.. She's not really forgiving?"
"Its because when we're twelve, she was bullied and and when the people who bullied her said sorry, she forgave them, but they kept bullying her again." Matthew said. "I see.." Niall scratched his invisible beard.
"Okay, I haven't been in this school, barely a month. Well, two more days and I've been in this school for a month. But I've dated a fabulous girl, and I think this school is pretty good. I'll leave your problem to you, then," Niall said.
"At least you tried to help me." Matthew sighed. Niall just grimaced at his friend's gloomy face. Then he brightened up. "Hey, maybe you can help me pick a place for me and Kiki's second date." "Sure. But after school, Niall." He said. "Of course!"
Celestia POV
"Ms. Harolds." Ms. Sylvia said firmly. I snapped out of my daydream. "Yes?" "Have you been listening?" She asked. "Yes, I did." I said. "Then, tell me. What is the answer of Question 23 in Page 57 of your textbooks?"
Celestia scanned the question for two seconds. After processing it, she said, "Its C." "Very good, Ms. Harolds. And don't go to dreamland while we study, please. I know you are already able to do this but do not ignore the studies." "Yes, Ms. Sylvia." Celestia answered.
-After Class-
"Celestia, what is it with you?" Dominique complained. "You weren't listening at all. Its a miracle you managed to answer Ms. Sylvia's question, or you would've gotten detention!"
"Its just... Dom, I can't and I don't want to talk about this." Celestia said. "Is it okay?" Celestia might be asking, but every time she said a question that she wants the answer to be 'no', its sounded like an order. But her friends were used to it.
"Its alright, Cel.. Its just--" Dominique was interrupted by Matthew, who tapped Dominique's shoulder. "Can I borrow her for a minute?" "Well, I don't mind-" "I mind." Celestia said harshly, looking at Matthew with an evil glare. "What did he do?" Dominique asked immediately.
"You won't want to know." Celestia said with gritted teeth. "Please," he pleaded. "This'll be the last time, okay?" Celestia pondered apon it. "Okay. But if you dare try something you know I won't like--" "I won't." He said firmly.
"Then let's go."
-5 minutes later-
"Why are you bringing me here?" Celestia demanded. They were sitting on the school staircases. "Look," he said, going straight to the point. "I'm so sorry about me texting you yesterday and saying the us word too quickly, but you gotta believe me that I really like you."
"You want me to believe?" Celestia asked. Matthew nodded his head lightly. She slowly bent over to his ears and whispered,
"Then prove it."
