Celestia's POV
I dyed my hair back brown.
I didn't want anything to make me remember mine and Matthew's passionate relationship just after Charlotte dyed my hair blonde.
Once I saw myself in the mirror, I felt like.. Me.
Until someone called me. With shaking hands, I picked up the phone. Confidence came naturally to me when I was a blonde. But now, no more.
"Hello?" I asked.
A cold, stoic voice responded on the other side. "We're over." Christopher?
"Wait-what? Why?" I demanded. I wanted answers. I just lost someone I loved yesterday, and I was going to lose anther one to? Give me a break!
"You kissed Matthew, you told Charlotte you loved him." He said. His voice was cool and reserved, that my my nervousness calmed down and turned into anger.
"Give. Me. A. Fucking. Break!" I screamed at him, and I could hear him gasp.
"Fine. I loved Matthew, I'll say. I lost him yesterday. And I lose you today. And what am I supposed to do now? Fuck, I should kill myself for God's sake." I snapped, but I wasn't prepared for the answer; I didn't brace myself for the impact I was going to take by the answer.
His voice cold, it haunted me.
"Then do it."
I hung up right after he said those words, I felt worthless, like I meant nothing.
I sneaked towards the kitchen, I didn't even know why. My parents weren't home, and it was holiday, I didn't know why. Its a weekday!
As I held the knife with my hands I felt it shake.
I was nervous, yet so depressed.
Letting out a soft scream, I felt the knife pierce my stomach.
The blood gushed through my shirt, and I felt weak. I fell to the ground, and with all the strength left in me, I grabbed a paper and wrote it with a pen;
I'm sorry.
And my world faded.
Matthew's POV
Celestia's house wasn't far.
I walked to apologize, but asked Kiki to come with for moral support.
"Just stay calm," she said as she knocked. No one answered. She opened the door, and it creaked open.
She looked curious. And at the kitchen, a girl was limp on the ground. Her hair was beautiful chestnut brown, her eyes were closed, her stomach stabbed with a knife, and blood pooling around her.
"CELESTIA!" I yelled, and held her on my arms, she was still breathing, but it was weak.
"Cel!" Kiki shrieked, and sobbed as she saw Celestia's limp body.
"Quick!" I ordered Kiki. "Call the ambulance!" And she did.
I ran my hands through her hair. She looked peaceful yet in pain. She was struggling to breathe, and I felt myself cry.
"Celestia," I said quietly.
"I love you, and don't leave me!" I said.
I was overcome by emotion, they rushed rapidly through me.
Kiki came back a minute later, looking out of breath. "I called an ambulance, I called her parents, I called the girls!" She panted, and went to check Celestia's pulse.
"NO!" She wailed, and I gasped.
She's.. Dead?
"Celestia?" I whispered, yet she made no sound.
"Cel! Don't leave me!" I begged, but her hand was cold, her face was pale, she looked lifeless.
"Stay," I pleaded, and the ambulance siren blared. Nurses and paramedics surrounded us.
They carried Celestia away, but Kiki and I forced ourselves on the ambulance.
"Connections?" A nurse asked.
"Friend," I muttered.
"Best friend!" Kiki snapped.
*Five Hours Later*
No one said a word.
Kiki was sobbing, along with Joanne, Vanessa trying to comfort them. Dominique was isolated, she began crying too, and so did Charlotte, and the both of them held onto each other.
Mr. Harolds was comforting Mrs. Harolds, rubbing her back and whispering soothing words at his wife, who was crying on his chest, even though he was crying himself.
Stella and Kimberly was crying as well, everyone did.
Alden was crying quietly, he looked absolutely guilty.
My head was on my hands, a few tears slipping occasionally. Celestia lived a beautiful, wonderful life.
She was good.
She didn't deserve this.
A doctor appeared out of the emergency room, and stared at us.
"Has she ever got depression?" He asked bluntly.
"Yes." Mr. Harolds said quietly, I almost couldn't hear him.
"Why?" He asked.
"Me." I whispered, looking down. The doctor gave me a skeptical look. "Why?" He repeated. "Complicated." Kiki managed to sniffle, as she wiped her eyes.
"She liked him, he bullied her, they dated, he hurt her, used her and verbally abused her, yet saved her from a car crash, he used her again, and he-" Charlotte stopped for breath, and pointed at Christopher, "dumped her on the phone, she was heartbroken, suicide, and let's hope she didn't die."
The doctor would've rolled his eyes, but he didn't, instead his eyes were sympathetic. "Teens." He said, but his voice was sad.
"She'll make it. She's a fighter, I give you that. Her heart stopped occasionally for a very short time, yet it beated again quickly. She's strong, she'll get through." He assured us.
Joanne let out a sigh of relief, and so did everyone else.
"She must be." Stella whispered, as she sniffed.
"She fought a lot of obstacles, she can handle this."
I knew she meant about me and Celestia's tragic love-hate affair.
From the pointed look she gave me.
Celestia, nothing's right without you here. Please, come back, stay.b
