Celestia POV
There was more to me than I was letting on. I was attracting more and more everyday, and it annoyed me to the death. I was in twelfth grade! The last grade of high school. Its supposed to be amazing.
But this was the complete opposite
When I was in ninth grade I wanted all eyes on me. But now, this turned out to be horrid.
"Why can't we just ditch?" I whined, and Kiki gave me a stern look. "No." I groaned.
Usually, she was the one who would ask the question, and I was the one who would answer 'no'.
But now, I'm different.
Sure, some teachers still favor me, but well, I hate . . a lot of things.
"We don't need more people spreading bullshit about us." She said, hands on her hip, and I stepped begrudgingly to class.
"Ah, Ms. Harolds and Ms. Smith." Sir Troy glared at us. "Any excuses?"
"Yeah." I answered, and tossed my hair. "I just don't wanna see your face. Reminds me of . ." I pretended to think.
"Oh! That bucktoothed kid I met yesterday. Said his name was Troy, wasn't it?" I said, arms crossed, and the whole class laughed.
"Ms. Harolds, that is-"
"Unacceptable behavior? I'll go if you like," I offered smugly, and Kiki grinned. "Sit." Sir Troy ordered, and I cracked a laugh before taking a seat beside the guy I despised.
Matthew Jones.
"Nice one, Cel!" He said, still laughing. The whole class nodded in agreement. Except for a furious, red-faced Sir Troy.
"Thank you." I answered shortly, took out my book and buried myself in the lesson.
*LUNCH*
"That was good!" Some people who I didn't know patted my back and sent me smiles. Somehow, getting this kind of attention made me happy.
"Look at you now!" Joanne invited Kiki and I to sit, and we did. "
"You're the Queen!" Dominique half-grinned at me. "It would be nice," I muttered. "If just one day, it could be like-" "Like old times?" Dominique cut me off, a bright smile on her face.
"Yes!" I gushed. "You know me well!"
Vanessa held up her hand.
"Nuh-uh! Please, not a girls night! Can I just invite some guys?" She pleaded, and I frowned. "Not sure Dad would allow that." I said, arms crossed.
"Please," she did the puppy dog eyes.
"Damn it, you!" I growled, and took out my phone.
"Daddy?" I asked, using the sweetest voice i could do.
Hello, Cel. What is it?
Dad's voice was heard on the other line. "The girls and I are wanting to have a sleepover, with some extra," I gulped. "Male.. Guests?"
I heard him sigh.
"Nothing will happen, I promise!" I reasoned, my voice exasperated.
Oh, alright. Just no drinking. No drugs. No kissing unless -
I laughed.
"Yeah, yeah, Dad, I get the drill. Bye, Daddy!"
Bye, Cel.
"He let us!" I exclaimed, and the girls squealed with excitement. Vanessa rushed up to invite the boys, and that was when I realized something.
Ugh, that little twat.
"Vanessa, don't invite -"
Matthew nodded at her with a big smile on his face.
"Ugh. I hate her."
*NIGHT*
"Good news!" I went to my room, where ten people were waiting for me.
"Mom and Dad are coming home late, so we can arrange the sleeping positions. Boys, sleeping bags, floor, carpet." I ordered, and they did what's told.
I sighed.
"Because I'm a nice host, I won't sleep on the bed. We'll all pick a seat in my room." I ran towards the windowsill, which had an extremely comfortable little blue sofa.
"I call dibs!"
Dominique chose the love seat, Kiki, Joanne and Vanessa on the couch, Kimberly with a very comfortable stack of pillows and blanket on my desk, Stella on the plush sofa.
"Let's start the classics," Joanne started, and I groaned.
"TRUTH OR DARE!"
"Niall. You go first." Joanne commanded, and he saluted. "Dare." He said in fake bravado.
"Kiss Kiki for ten seconds." They shared a loving gaze. "I don't wanna watch this." Kimberly shut her eyes tight as the couple kissed for a perfect ten seconds.
"No detours, you two." Matthew grinned at them.
"Celestia!" Niall called, and I sat up straight. "Dare." I tossed my hair.
"Wait a sec." He began to think. "Aha!" He whispered something to Kiki, who smirked. She ran her hands on Matthew's hair, and slicked it back.
Well, I'll be.
With his hair slicked back.
He looked.. Hot.
"Celestia," Niall said. "Tell Matthew that he looks sexy with the hair slicked back."
I gasped.
"Is this 'Mean Girls'?"
"Not quite." Kiki giggled.
I looked down, my brown curls perfectly framing my face.
"Your hair looks sexy when its slicked back." And I blushed.
"You guys go on! I'm going to the bathroom." I called, but I was stopped outside.
"Cel?" Matthew asked, and I crossed my arms. "Look. That was a dare. So don't expect me to gush about you-"
"I'm sorry." He blurted out, hands on his neck.
"Look, you said that a million times in my life. And why should I believe you this time when you hurt me every single time you said that to me?"
My vision blurred with tears, but I still stood up straight. He went silent, looking at the floor.
"That's what I thought."
And I couldn't hold it anymore.
I cried.
