CH 3 - First Day of School (Part 2)
We arrived in the classroom with other people staring at me slightly, making me shadow over the room. Georgie had explained to me about the tutor class and introducing the teacher. And while we did, the teacher started registrations: calling our first names luckily. Then, the bell went: meaning classes start. Feeling confused, I looked at my timetable carefully to see different names and classroom names that don't make any sense.
"Hey, you have the same classes as me!" I looked up to see Georgie exclaim while pointing at hers. There was a relieved feeling inside me, knowing that I wasn't alone.
So I answered, "Can you show me where the rooms are?"
She then waved towards her, "Sure!" I followed her along the crowded corridor until we had reached at least 2 doors at the end of it. Georgie had stopped in front of the right hand door and spoke.
"Do you know what level are you in?" I shook my head as an answer.
"I really don't know: I'm not really a smarty pants." I slightly laugh and she smiles gleefully.
She replied, "Oh! Me too! I'm not that keen on academic stuff, but you should meet my friend Piper Wilkins... she's literally the school head of nearly every subject." She kept explaining on about her best friend as we got inside.
I realised then that everyone was looking at our direction. Well... my direction: because Georgie went to sit near the middle of the room. Standing there – awkwardly – the teacher did finally introduce me to the class.
"Class, this is Cathy." Luckily he didn't say my last name; must be the use of first names only in this school. He then dismissed me to sit down onto an empty space beside Georgie. While doing this, he started explaining what the lesson was about (which was sadly History).
The hour had gone pass so long: I didn't even know what I did within 60 minutes but watch this programme about Hitler. I guess the only funny thing was when Hitler spoke, reminding me weirdly about Ross saying 'EAT SH*T!' numerous times on Garry's Mod.
After History with Mr Bailey (I think that was his name) Georgie and I walked over, up a flight of stairs to the first floor for French. This was when me and Georgie went a bit on the offensive side of saying rude words in French. At the end, we did get told off by Madame Collette by laughing too loud at the back of the room. But what the heck: the rule for school is to have fun: unless you try and find rude stuff in the French dictionary. (A/N: Please be not offended by this, it is only for the purpose of the book! Thank you :D)
Modern Languages was finally over, it was then Art we had next. Along the way there, I heard someone calling Georgie's name behind us. Both of us turned around to see a girl with medium straight hair tied up in a neat ponytail; green emerald eyes: running towards us. Then, she slowed down and sighed heavily.
"Hey! Are you guys going to Art?" She asked and Georgie said yes. After, she noticed me (knowing that I was new) and she introduced herself to me.
"You must be one of the new people," She said. "My name's Piper, head of the Academic Group and Mathematics Society."
I smiled and replied, "Georgie told me about you. Does everybody know you because you're head of everything?" Piper gave a smile back and looked at Georgie (who was trying to give her an innocent look).
"Yeah, I guess so." She shrugged. "But I don't really care about fame." We all head to art together. Luckily, we were early: so I didn't get odd looks from the others. The lesson had started quite well; we started new projects in groups of 3: meaning I was with Georgie and Piper.
