CH 19 (Part 1) – Downfall of Yogtowers

*A lot of changing POVs*

*Warning: this chapter is a bit emotional*

- Jake –

Ethan and I were just heading back to the den after just lying around and walking around town. It was an ordinary Saturday, and Ethan couldn't hold his childish sh*tty head and decided to go to Bristol park for a while.

"For f*ck's sake, Ethan." I hissed just as the child-man opened the gate and grabbed the back of his jacket.

Ethan moaned and said, "It's Saturday, mate! Loosen a bit less: Benji, Maisie and my brother are there to keep Andy in order. And plus, you Cathy is right all fine with her sister. They're probably having a nice day ya know...sister bonding. Those type of sh*t..."

"There might be police here." I crossly folded my arms, but just as I was going to retort furthermore, Ethan sprinted off and left me standing at the gate. I sighed and slammed the gate open, sauntering over to where Ethan was using the swing.

The kid beside him seemed to be talking to him.

Ethan spotted me and I was forced to come over and interact.

He exclaimed, "Hey, Jake! Come here, mate!"

"What is it?" I rolled my eyes.

"This boy has the same name as you!" Ethan pointed at the twelve year old that was using the swing beside him. At that moment, I felt as if I was taken back by how similar his facial features were to mine. "Isn't your name Pike as well."

I flicked from the kid and back and raised an eyebrow. "Maybe it's just a coincidence, Ethan. Pike could be a popular surname." Then, I stopped disturbing the kid by pulling Ethan off the swing and began tugging him out.

"Aw! But I want to say goodbye to my new lad, right Will Pike!" Ethan waved.

I froze.

Did I know that name before?

Just as the boy named Will was about to say something, I sped off: pulling Ethan all the way back to the den.

- Lewis –

"Can I ask you a question..." My mind went to a thought before I heard Simon speaking through the Skype call we were having. We had been recording new Hole Diggers for the past hour. Duncan had already left and went to record with god knows who.

I haven't been having the best of days.

I rubbed my eyes and then said, "What is it, Simon? Please nothing to do with this crap we've been doing the past hour..."

"When the f*ck are you going to tell Ellie and Cat that Hannah's pregnant." He plainly spoke.

I placed my head in my hands. "Oh god...have I forgot again? I knew I forgot something!" I slammed my fist on my desk, feeling it rattle and vibrate due to the little ripples the glass of water had.

Honestly, I never would have thought I would become a father to Ellie and Cat. They were both the most amazing and talented children I have ever met. I am really proud to have them as my own. Even Hannah would say this.

However, when I began noticing Hanna having morning sickness and eating vigorously on a plate of god knows what...it was as if I was back to when I decided to adopt Ellie and Cat. There was panic in my brain. I always thought that if I said something...one wrong word; I thought that I was the worse father in the world.
