CH 15 - New Years Kiss

We stayed at the Brindley house for couple more days after Christmas. Unfortunately, Uncle Ralph and Aunt Georgia had to leave after Boxing Day, Matthew was very upset once he realised that he was leaving. He couldn't get off anybody when we hugged him goodbye.

I was little teary-eyed since I grew fond of him, and I had to nudged Ellie in the gut for laughing at me for being soft. I wasn't considered to be soft in anyone's opinion.

Two days later, Aunt Pippa and Uncle Jordan had to leave since their flight for Los Angeles was at ten in the morning. That had left Ellie, Mum, Dad and I in the large house with Grandma and Grandpa. We were already packing up since we had to leave back for Bristol in the morning since we had to go shopping for food.

Yogtowers was going to be holding a New Years Eve party whilst the last livestreams are going to be on. Apparently everyone was going who normally go as well as Zoey and her girlfriend and Rythian, Ravs and Zylus. Sips couldn't make it since he had a baby to take care off.

And it wasn't healthy to bring a baby to a party where majority of the adult were going to get drunk. Even Ellie wasn't allowed to go ahead and be in the party until ten minutes until Midnight.

"Aww, don't worry Ellie." I said in the car whilst we were driving back to Bristol.

Ellie then pouted and questioned, "Then where am I going to be whilst all of you are being drunk?"

"Don't worry," Mum continued. "I am not having Cathy drink, but I'm allowing her to hang out. You and I can play with Nilesy in the livestream room. I think Turps is thinking of doing a karaoke night then...so we could do it with him and some several other people."

"So I'll be watching drunk men sing like they're drowning?" Ellie retorted – Dad laughed at that as Mum smirked.

We got back to flat just after lunch; and I immediately pushed myself to unpack everything before Mum called out to Ellie and I that we needed to do the laundry. After we turned on the washing machine, all of us ate quickly and headed back to Yogtowers.

It was only the four of us there since the lights were off and it was bloody freezing wherever. Mum and Dad went up to the large common room whilst Ellie went off to her little office to. As for me, I secretly went back up to my little hideaway which I almost went every time I went to the office.

The lyrics were almost done; I was probably going to be done by the next few weeks since I won't have time when I got back to school and the Yogscast Fan Club as well as Jake and his friends that I hung out.

I would say that I improved with the help of Grandma's present. I also tried playing with the acoustic guitar, which sounded amazing. Mum and Dad had enough of me thanking them every time I remembered their present.

In the small office room I turned into a little den, I placed my fairy lights around and my scented candle Ellie gave me. It looked so Tumblr that I took a picture of it, reminding myself to print it out and stick into my journal.

"Toby!" I jumped behind his back when I found him walking alone in the town centre. Ellie and I had a job of buying some party streamers and poppers in Town whilst Mum and Dad got the food for tonight. Everyone from the office had arrived back for tonight whilst some were at hotels since they lived quite far...and I mean in other countries.

He laughed, still surprised s he asked: "When did you get back? How was it?"

"It was great," I happily replied. "Guess what I got for Christmas though."
