CH 13 - Inviting Yognau(gh)ts

So when I decided to pick up my books from my locker, I found Georgie and Piper talking by their lockers.

'Wait...before I go and make a fool of myself, let's evaluate how they're going to react about last night. They are probably going to ignore me for the rest of my life until I tell them I'm sorry or I bribe them by giving merchandise or something...' I thought on the way down the corridor.

I took a deep breath and sauntered towards them – forcing a smile on my face.

When I seemed to be in the right position, the two had noticed and turned towards me with monotone faces. But then suddenly everything I thought I expected got kicked into the rubbish bin. It was so rushed out that I was frozen for most of their squabbling.

"Oh my god why didn't you tell us?!"

"Well of course she couldn't; she'll be in danger with all the haters!"

"I know but still...she should have trusted us..."

"Yes...but then like you: you can just blurt it all out at Lunch in fornt of the whole school..."

"Hey! I'm not like that..."

"Says the one who told the club that I fancied flipping Peter the pencil nibbler who stares like a pervert at me in Mathematics..."

"But now he's in car now isn't he? Now you don't have to worry about him..."

"Georgie...you are not making any sense at all..." Piper sighed, dropping her head whilst rubbing her forehead.

I eyed the two of them, my mouth agape before I said: "So...you're not mad at me..."

Georgia opened her mouth, and yet Piper decided to answer instead. "What she means is that: yes we are mad. However...we aren't."

"Your reasons why you hid it from us was reasonable," Georgie shrugged. "We were probably thick about haven't thinking how similar you are to your sister? Yogscast Ellie?"

I grinned and nodded, "Yeah...that's her." I then continued. "How the others...I mean did: what was their reaction to my appearance."

Piper and Georgie explained all of what they have said all the way to Art class and through the period since we did our project together. My heart slowed down from panic after hearing that most of them forgive me and felt that my excuses were reasonable.

Some others such as CJ and Skyla – who were a little more hardcore in their fandom – were a little mad of my hidden secret. Of course I expected this to happen, but when I encountered CJ in P.E and Skyla in Science: they seemed to be calmer about the terms. I was glad that I wasn't going to be lashed out...

So once the week had ended with the final school bell ringing, Georgie and Piper had met in front of the gate with me. I willingly decided to bring my two best friends back home and meet my family.

"Guys," I spoke whilst I walked with them down the street where we were going to meet with Kim and Duncan.

Georgie replied with concern, "What is it, Cat?"

"When you meet...my parents..." I slowly said. "Please can you not..."

Piper and Georgie seemed to look at each other before grinning. "We aren't like that all the time, Cat." Piper said.

"We might just be fans, but acting like that in front of them might scare them too much," Georgie sheepishly answered.

I huffed and smiled before saying, "Phew...I just really want to make this as if we are just a normal family. Not as if they're celebrities or..."
