CH 10 – Ship Names

Before reading this: There are some mature themes such as underage drinking.

Word came out exactly about my date with Toby when I had Piper slam my locker door in my face to give her some attention. I jumped at the sound, causing my Monday tiredness face to turn form into a more elaborated exhaustion and madness. Why can my Mondays be relaxing and not as drama-filled as the rest of the school week?

"Why didn't you tell me?!" Piper shouted right at my face. "Huh!"

I then hissed back, "You just broke my ear drum and my locker and you expect me to know what you're talking about! It's Monday for God's sake, and I'm thinking of sleeping through Mathematics this first period."

"I've heard from Georgie who said it from Claire that she heard from AJ that was talking to CJ how she went to the music store that the Harrison triplets saw you and Toby Cotrell going into the cinema together." Piper took a deep breath at the end after I had gotten everything into my system.

Oh I'll kill them...whichever one of the triplets saw me first.

Sighing, I took a deep breath and quickly hugged Piper. It had been Sunday that Toby and I went out for a date, which gave me less time to tell Georgie and Piper about it. I also had to listen to the raging rant Lewis had given me when we all got home from Yogtowers...which was also a disaster. Through the night Ellie and I had sore necks since we watched Mum and Dad argue about my dating life. People should just lay back and let me do what's best for me at least sometimes.

I spoke, "I apologise a lot for not telling you...but it was just an immediate thing and then my dad ranted about how..."

"Alright alright!" Piper chuckled and said, "I forgive you...but you have to tell you're sorry to Georgie."

I chuckled back and said, "Will do then."

"Okay I got to go to Italian! See you at break!" After that, I watched her jog down the corridor, smiling at my friend who could never break a single school rule – even getting to class on time was a vital thing for her.

My morning consisted of Mathematics and French, so I decided to take it lazy and slowly by fixing my hair in the toilets. For a school toilet, it was actually quite pristine and tidy for once. I tied my hair in a French plait and headed back to my journey to Mathematics.

It was a miracle that I got there in time before the bell rang for a late call. My math's teacher was strict, and yet still couldn't focus on the fact that some of his students were dozing off. And one of them was me.

He seemed to be more on talking to himself than letting the class participate on circle theorems.

Whilst I was closing my eyes, my head rested on my hand leaning on the desk, I felt something touch my arm. Quickly I flew my eyes open and found a ball of scrunched up paper. I furrowed my eyebrows at the extreme clichéd act. We aren't an American school sitcom show! We're at a British Comprehensive Secondary School and we're going cliché?

I might as well break the fourth wall!

Though nevertheless, I had gotten curious and opened the paper open.

'After your little club meeting, is it alright if we hang out?

-J'

I looked around to then spot the blonde boy fiddling his pen and textbook on his desk. If no one was bothering to pay attention, I decided to reply to his message. But I did think twice, asking myself if it should be safe.
