With a heavy heart Sky went to Lucy's alone the next morning, she left the twins with their father, who seemed to be sleeping-in and didn't even notice that she had slipped out of the apartment earlier. Sky's heart was hammering so fast she thought that it would burst out of her chest, when Lucy finally opened the door with messy hair and her nightgown. Lucy yawned and opened the door further to let Sky in, she fixed Sky with a quizzical look that seemed to ask why she was so early and alone, but Sky ignored it and sat down in a chair at the kitchen table. After a few minutes of silence Lucy finally sat down beside Sky.

"Okay, spill. I want to hear all about whatever is going on," Lucy burst out, not being able to wait another minute to know why Sky was acting so weird. And Sky told her everything she told Mason the night before and how he had acted.

"Oh, Honey! Mason will come around; he just needs time to adjust to what you just unloaded on him. I mean, you did tell him you are related to the people that operate this place, and you also had the opportunity to tell some sort of authority..."

"Yeah, but I was eleven, the first thing I thought wasn't 'I should tell an adult' it was, 'Holy shit on a stick! I have to leave before my father finds out I know about this place' you know. And anyways, it's not like I can go back and change what happened," Sky retorted defensively. Lucy raised an eyebrow but didn't say anything for a few minutes.

"Sweetie, I think what you did was the best thing for you, you couldn't go to the police because of your fathers connection and you couldn't live with you family because of what they do here. Your aunt was the best choice, plus you never know what would have happened to you if you had stayed there."

"Yeah! You are so right, I just hope that Mase will talk to me again...where are the children, I'm here to pick them up so they can meet their baby brothers, Marty and Danny."

"You had twins! Congrats! That is so awesome! When will I see them? You guys should come over as soon as possible," Said Lucy with a big grin spread across her face. Sky chuckled slightly in amusement but didn't respond right away. She shook her head slightly and told Lucy a little sadly that she doesn't want to visit with Mason if he was still mad at her. Lucy didn't quite understand but didn't press it any further. Sky gathered her children and went back to their apartment, back to an angry Mason and crying children. This was definitively not the way Sky had imagined her life to turn out.

Mason was frantic when Sky and the children walked through the door; he hugged her so hard that she thought that she would suffocate. Sky tapped him slightly on his back and made a chocking noise to let him know of her situation. He loosened his grip slightly, and he gave her a lingering kiss on the cheek before he let her go fully. Mason ruffled the children's hair and smiled at them in admiration and love.

"I was so worried when I couldn't find you. I finally realized what you told me last night was probably true, that you couldn't help who your parents were. Please forgive me, I know I don't deserve it after what I told you, but I can't live without you, not in this place. I don't know how to raise kids!"

"Awe that is so sweet, of course I forgive you. I knew you would one day figure out that you can't live without me, I'm just that important," Sky replied with a lopsided grin. "There was no need to get worried, you knew that we were supposed to get the kids from Mattie and Lucy's place." Sky finished, she then turned to Xandra, who was pulling at her shirt and saying,

"Mom, mommy, mom, mom, mommy, mommy, mommy?"

"What is it, sweetie?" Sky finally said.

"Can we go see the babies now?" Xandra was encouraged with a chorus of 'Eeeee!' from her younger brother, who waving his arms around above his head. Sky laughed and nodded her head, "Yes, let's have a look at the additions to our family." Mason looped his strong arm around her waist and together they made their way to the twins' bedroom.
