AU: Mark is a vampire and Jack is his mundane boyfriend

Mark silently crept through the front door, shutting it silently behind him. He made sure it was locked and wiped his mouth with his back sleeve, a small trace of fainted red being left behind. Mark ran his tongue along his fangs, feeling a bit of dried blood left on them.

He hated going and staying out late to hunt, but he needed food; by food meaning blood. He had officially gone one week without it, and he was starving. He broke the streak this night, only taking one persons life. He was still hungry, but he could always suck the color out of the fruit him and his boyfriend had.

Mark took his jacket off and hung it on the coat rack, walking to the bathroom and stepping inside. He switched on the light and washed his face, getting off the remaining specks of blood. He brushed his teeth as well, knowing Jack hated the smell of blood. Jack only kissed Mark once after he had gone hunting, and immediately regretted it.

Mark stripped off his shirt and jeans, throwing them in the hamper that was in the bathroom. Mark went into him and Jack's bedroom, hearing the soft him of the fan running. Mark could just barley make out a small lump under the covers, smiling as he saw that Jack was asleep.

Mark crept under the covers and snaked an arm around Jack, pulling him closer to him. Mark was on his back with his arm around Jack's upper back, Jack laying on his side with his head on Mark's shoulder. Jack stirred for a second and placed his hand on Mark's stomach, scooting closer. Mark suddenly felt Jack's hand move to his chest, softly drawing invisible shapes the skin with his index finger.

"Hi, baby." Mark said, giving jack a squeeze.

"Hey, Marky." Jack said, his voice a tad hit deeper than normal. Jack's hand continued tracing on Mark's chest, Mark humming happily.

"I'm sorry I woke you up..." Mark apologized, turning his head and giving Jack a kiss on the forehead.

"It's okay..." Jack said, nuzzling his head in the crook of Mark's neck. Mark took the hand that was around Jack and started running his fingers through Jack's hair.

"I'm glad you're home. It's lonely without you." Jack explained, trying to get as close as possible to Mark. He placed a kiss on Mark's neck, pressing the edge of his nose against Mark's jaw.

"I only drank once." Mark started. "I'm still hungry. I mean, I can always eat the other food in the house but it just doesn't satisfy the craving, you know?"

"I'm glad you only took a little bit." Jack said, stopping his hand motions and wrapping both arms around Mark's torso. Jack pressed himself as close as possible, leaving no air between the two. "I'm proud of you."

Mark chuckled and wrapped both arms around Jack, still proceeding to lay on his back. "Can you do something for me, Princess?" Mark asked. Jack blushed at the nickname. Mark May have a reputation as one of the toughest vampires in the nation, but he was a big softy when it came to his boyfriend.

"What is it?" Jack asked, pressing another kiss to Mark's neck.

"Can you stay here? Just like this. You in my arms, your head against my chest. I miss this. I hate having to go out every night with my so called 'friends' and leave you." Mark said, his voice small. He sounded like a child asking asking the mean parent for candy.

"Of course, Marky." Jack said, sighing in content. He moved his head back down to Mark's chest and rested it there, hearing the loud thumping of his heartbeat.

"You're so beautiful." Jack mumbled. "I love you."

"I love you too, baby boy. You're my world."

With those words in Jack's mind, he drifted off to sleep with a smile on his face.
