"Papa?" a small voice asked, causing Jack to spin around in his chair toward his daughter. Little Piper looked up at him with her big blue eyes, and Jack always smiled at seeing how they resembled his.
"Why can't I play games like you and Daddy do?" Piper inquired, causing Jack to chuckle. He scooped up his little girl and set her in his lap, noticing how his husband, Mark, was standing in the doorway.
"Our games are a little scary, princess." Jack explained, tickling Piper's stomach and hearing her giggle after.
"But I'm five years old now!" she chirped, raising up her small hand and holding her fingers apart. "That's a whole hand!" Jack could hear Mark stifle a laugh from the doorway, causing Jack to laugh as well.
"What are you laughing about?" Piper asked. "I know I'm funny but geez." Mark was on the floor at this point, Jack wondering how Piper even knew half those words. Piper placed the hand she was holding up on Jack's cheek, giving her dad a small smile.
"Your face is itchy, Papa."
Jack almost dropped his kid from laughter.
