This was inspired by this little vine that Jin had made about Mark, Jack, and Piper going out for a family trip :)

"Come on, Dads!" Piper chirped, opening the car door and jumping out to the ground from her seat in the back. She kept the door open as the family dog, Chica, hopped out the back seat with her. Piper took Chica's leash from the backseat and fastened it on her collar, going to the front of the car and watching both her dad's get out slowly from the front seats.

"Come on! Come onnnn!" Piper whined, jumping up and down. 

"Calm down, baby girl." Mark laughed, shutting his door and locking the car. 

"We told you we were gonna go hiking, P." Jack, Piper's other father, said, ruffling her hair. He pet Chica on the head as he continued. "So that's what we're going to do."

"I wanna make it to the top of the mountain!" Piper cheered. "There's a really big plain on the top where you can see the sunset!"

"I don't think we're staying till sunset, sweetheart." Mark said sadly, taking Jack's hand in his own. "We gotta be home in time to pick up Uncle Felix and Aunt Marzia from the airport, remember?" 

"Oh yeah..." Piper said sadly. "You know what? That's perfectly okay. I have my two amazing dads with me, and we're finally able to be away from the internet and spend time as a family." Mark and Jack smiled as their daughter spoke. She may be fourteen, but her speech can range from a five year old's to a twenty year old's. 

"I'm glad, P." Jack said, taking his free hand and pushing Piper's hair back from her forehead. He placed a kiss there and let the hair fall back, watching as Piper smiled and ran ahead a bit with Chica. 

"I'm glad we took a day off." Mark said, pressing a kiss to Jack's temple as they walked a little faster to catch up with Piper. 

"Me too." Jack said. "I feel like we haven't spent the day as a family since we took her to Disneyworld with Felix, Ken, Matt, and Ryan."

"I think the smile on her face is bigger now than it was then." Jack chuckled, looking at his husband then back at his daughter. Mark and Jack finally caught up with Piper at the entrance of the small mountain, and she was waiting for them with Chica jumping excitedly. 

"Are you guys ready?" Piper asked, grinning.

"Let's do this!" Mark chirped, letting go of Jack's hand and walking ahead. Chica followed behind Mark as Piper handed Chica's leash to him. Piper trailed behind Jack for a moment as he caught up with Mark, and Piper ran and jumped on Jack's back. Everyone laughed as Jack almost fell over from the weight, and he grabbed Piper's legs as she looped her arms around Jack's neck. 

"Onward, my trust stead!" Piper cheered, smiling as her parents laughed and Chica barked.

An hour later, the group had made it to the top of the mountain, Piper and Chica playing fetch in the large field. Mark and Jack were seated on a bench, holding hands and watching their daughter. 

"I love you." Mark spoke randomly, pressing his nose in Jack's hair. 

"I love you too, you big doof." Jack said softly. 

"Daddy! Papa!" Piper called. "Chica wants you to come play with us!"

"You wanna race?" Jack asked Mark, wiggling his eyebrows as he looked at his husband.

"Ten bucks to the winner?" Mark asked. 

"Yep!" Jack yelled, sprinting toward his daughter. 

"Hey not fair!" Mark yelled, chasing his husband.
