I met them today. First I met the eldest brother, William Silber, he is handsome too, then I finally met him. I will never be able to explain how I felt when I met Edward. I’ve never felt like that before towards anyone. It was almost magical. Every nerve in my body was aware of his presence... I hope he felt the same. Mother is concerned because I have turned down every man that has been interested in me. I just never felt like this about anyone. Father is always on my side and understands me. He always says he will never let me go with someone unworthy of me. I will tell father tomorrow I will only marry Edward, no one else.
Father has been acting strange lately. I don’t know why. He is being so careful and protective towards me, its like he is expecting something to happen. It scares me sometimes. He is always so composed. I am not used to seeing him like this. He seems concerned for something to come.
I am scared.
