I saw him again today. Walking towards the market like he always does. He looked my way as he always does. Those deep blue eyes make me wonder...will he ever approach me? Father tells me I’m better off. “Those two are trouble” he would always say. Trouble? How could they be? Nahima told me she knew them. I had to convince her. She had to introduce us.

I was intrigued by one of them. Nahima says his name is Edward but I personally haven’t meet either of them yet. According to Mother, it is not right for a women to fancy a man without having being wooed by them initially, but for some forsaken reason I could not get those eyes out of my head since the first time I saw them. I know if he was interested he would have approached my father or myself by now... he hasn't. It might be unusual but I might need to take matters into my own hands. I am almost eighteen for god’s sake. If I can be married at my age, I can also make a stand for what I feel.
