I will have to admit, the country of the bahamas is one of the most breathtaking sights I have ever seen. From when we arrived at the Nassau airport in the small capital island of New Providence, to the second plane we took to the island of Eleuthera.
Our final destination was Governor's Harbor airport. A little confesion: I am not fond of airplanes. Even less now that I can actually fly wherever I want to go. For this trip we had to take four planes. Yes, you read right, four bloody planes. First one was from California to Florida. Then from Florida to Nassau. We didn't stay there for long. We only had a few free hours before our next flight was due.
I tried to stay the furthest away from Christian as I could manage. And of course, while I was trying to get away from him, Agent Walter was always willing to help. He was my mentor, or so he said after he promised to tell me everything, which by the way, he did not. Right when I was about to pry it out of him but he was saved by a phone call. After that, out of nowhere, Agent Walter glanced at me suspiciously, "Have you ever been to the Bahamas?"
I didn't really know what he meat back then but after he explained the plan I was in. He didn't tell me much after that but I knew that if I was going to pull this Christian thing of, I was going to need help. And help me he did.
I glanced back towards a little cafeteria near our terminal and felt the weirdest thing. Christian was there laughing and enjoying himself with no one other than his mentor. Agent Ryder. I wanted to roll my eyes at them.
"Try not to kill her will you?" Agent Walter was staring down at me with dancing eyes handing me my chocolate filled croissant and coffee. "We actually need her." He sat down next to me.
"What are you talking about?" I was not in the mood for his games. Over the last couple of days we have become friends. Yeah, I guess you could call us friends. He even started calling me by my name and not my code name.
"I might say, jealousy suits you." I glared at him, took a bite from my croissant, and he laughed. I was not jealous. I was not...
"You are. Accept it." He replied even before I said it out laud. I looked back again towards Christian and they were still laughing. They looked like they were having the time of their lives. I grunted and fell back into my seat rolling my eyes. I was jealous. I was so jealous.
"What did a fish tell another fish?" That was so unexpected to hear it from Agent Walter's mouth I had to fight back a laugh.
"What?" I could tell this was going to be good.
"Don’t be stew-fish." As soon as the words were out of his mouth, I burst out in laughter. He was doing a wonderful job at keeping my mind occupied.
“You are weird.”
"and you should smile more often," My laugh started dying down and I started gasping for air.
"Why?" I said through breathes.
"You have a beautiful laugh." He said nonchalantly. I stared at him.
"Is that a compliment Agent Walter?" I asked teasingly.
