Are We Meant To Be? *2nd book of the Other Half Trilogy*

~ Ch. 17 ~

                  Acarna's POV

    I woke up and blinked hard as my eyes adjusted to the light. "She's awake!" I heard Zalaan say. I sat up and instantly regretted it as the room spun. "Easy does it now. You hit your head pretty hard." Dargeo said, helping me sit up. Master Starkiller walked in then. "You have a transmission..........it's your Mother." my Master said. Dargeo and Zalaan shared a look, than looked at me. "Maybe this is a call you shouldn't take.......we could talk to her for you." Zalaan said, Dargeo nodded in agreement. "No, this is my Mother and the call is meant for me. I'll take the call. The two of you will stay here. That's an order." I said. We established years ago when the three of us went on a mission together for the first time that I was in charge. We also established that Zalaan is a horrible leader. Oh, the mistakes we made when we put him in charge the one time! I have a scar from the tussle that we had on Geonosis. I entered the main Brig and answered the call from my Mother. Best not to leave her waiting any longer. The lights dimmed and she appeared.

    "Acarna, Starkiller tells me that you found your Brother, and faced off with a Jedi! I'm very proud of you. Which is why I agree with Starkiller's decision." my Mother said, smiling. "Uh, what is my Master's decision?" I asked, confused. "Promoting you to Sith Master! I have already dispatched an Inquisitor for you to train, she is new, eager to learn, and very loyal. She will be a fine Padawan." Mother said. "Wait.....S-sith Master!? I-I don't know what to say." I said, surprised. "You can thank your Master. Anyway, where is your Brother? I'd like for him to return home with you." Mother said. "Ya see.....that's the thing.......he didn't come back with me. He took of with the Rebels and the Jedi. Mom..........he's being trained by that Jedi! And what's worse is that Jedi is Ezra's other Half!!" I yelled, angry. Mother frowned, you could tell she did not look happy at all. "Seems that our efforts will need to be doubled into getting your Brother back. You have another objective on top of training a Padawan and brining your Brother back. I want you and the others to hunt down and kill these Rebels! Oh, and let's see if we can turn Ezra's other Half.......maybe that can get us your Brother back from these Rebel scum." Mother said, I nodded. Then remembered that I found my other Half....should I tell her? I might as well, if I don't she will find out eventually. "What is the matter Acarna? I can sense that you are troubled." Mother said. Can't hide it now. "Mom.........I found my other Half. He is the Lassat that is with these Rebels. What should I do?" I asked her. The look on her face was one of pure and utter shock, then she recovered. "You are to do nothing at all. You are to marry Agent Kallus and that will not change. Even if you found your other Half." Mother said. "But-" "No buts Acarna! You know what you must do to keep this Empire alive! I will not here anymore of this other Half business!" Mother interrupted me. I nodded and she sighed. "Look dear, I'm happy you know who it is but, you know you can't marry him." Mother said. I nodded in understanding. She is right, I have to do what is best for our family and put my own feelings aside. "I am sending your Padawan with the next supply shipment which shall be a week from today. Oh, and you are to be with Agent Kallus today. He will show you around Lothal. Oh, and keep Dargeo and Zalaan in line." Mother said. I nodded and she ended the transmission.

    I walked back to my room and came across my Master. I bowed in respect. "I take it she told you?" Master Starkiller asked. "Yes, Master, and thank you." I told him. "You earned this Acarna. Just, don't make me regret my decision." Master Starkiller said. "I won't. I promise." I said. We parted ways and I entered my room........only to see Zalaan and Dargeo glaring at each other. I rolled my eyes at their antics. I grabbed a towel and some clothes and left for the refresher. They can work it out this time.

                 Lux's POV

    We just got done with a briefing by Fulcrum and Senator Organa when I was alerted that I had a call waiting for me, from Hera. Man I miss her. I entered my room and answered the call. When her image appeared I could certainly tell that she looked worried.

    "Hera, is something the matter?" I asked her, concerned. "We have just left Lothal. It is no longer safe for us there. Lux...........Kanan almost got killed!!" Hera said, frantically. "What do you mean? What happened?! Is everyone okay?" I asked her. "Ezra needed some time alone so he left the Ghost and went to his Tower. Hours later Kanan came running into the living room and said that Ezra was in trouble. It turns out, when we got there, Ezra was found by some Sith Knights. But, the worst thing was that they were waiting for us! Agent Kallus and some of his men attacked us! There were two other Sith besides the Inquisitor. One was a Zabrak and the other was a male Togruta. When Ezra came out he was being held against his will by a female Togruta. Lux.....she's the one that almost killed Kanan! Ezra did save Zeb, by the way. Agent Kallus had beat Zeb and was about to kill him when Ezra used the Force and saved Zeb. Honestly, we were lucky to get out of there alive! Lux, as much as I love us being apart from the rest of the Rebellion, I think that we won't be able to do this on our own much longer." Hera said. "Well, have you talked to the rest of your crew about this?" I asked her. "No, I haven't brought it up at all to them, for the fear that if one of us gets captured by the Empire and might accidentally say something about the rest of the Rebel cells. I don't even think we will have Kanan to be on board with this. He already survived one War..........I don't think he'd want to be put back in the middle of another one." Hera said, frowning. "Hey, don't fret over it. I'm sure if you just explain to them than they'll understand. I'm sure they'll be more than willing to join our cause. They pretty much already are in it." I said to her. "Oh, I'm sending you some coordinates for some medical supplies that Fulcrum found. He found them last week." I said, typing in the coordinates and sending them to her. "Coordinates received. Tell Fulcrum that we said thank you. I got to go now. I love you." Hera said. "I love you too, see you soon." I said, then ended the transmission. I need to talk to Anakin.........I think his children just met each other.....and did not start on good terms. What are you playing at Sister?

[ So, this took awhile just cause I was stuck. So, is Hera going to spill everything to the crew? Is Kanan going to agree with her? Is Ezra finally going to meet his Father? Who is Acarna's Padawan? What do you guys think? Leave your comments below!!
