~ Ch. 59 ~

               Ezra's POV

    "What do you think is going to happen? I mean, the first part we had were all visions of some sort." I asked Acarna. "No idea. Whatever happens......." Acarna said, trailing off. "Don't you dare leave my side." we said in unison and I smiled at her as she looked away, clearly embarrassed. I bet she doesn't say stuff like that very often. Soon after that, we came to another room. There were tall and I mean tall statues of people with sabers. In the middle was a pedestal with something on it. You could feel the energy of the Force all throughout the room. We walked closer and Acarna gasped as her hands flew to her mouth.

    "Acarna? What's the matter?" I asked her, concerned for my Sister. "T-that's........t-that's...." she is really scared and well.....I've never seen her this scared! I don't think she's ever been this scared matter of fact! "What's wrong?" I asked her again. She swallowed the lump in throat and the scared look never left her eyes. "That saber..........is Darth Palagueis's..........he was the founder of the Sith......" Acarna trailed off. As we moved closer the sense of power grew stronger. There's an inscription on the pedestal, and of course, as with everything else in this Temple, it's Nerian.

    "Here lies the pure essence of power and might. Father of the Sith. Those of pure souls shall be consumed. Those of tainted souls shall gain strength. A decision must be made......." Acarna translated. "All the rest has been worn away. This isn't much to go on. But, if I remember correctly, if Jedi touches it, they will be consumed by the evil and eventually die. If a Sith touches it, they will be consumed by the lust for power." Acarna explained.

    "Okay........so what do we do now? Just take it?" I asked her. "No! We aren't gonna do a thing with it! I will not let this weapon kill you! I can't handle that." Acarna said. "Well, I won't let you hold it either! You have come so far from where you were and I don't want you to  travel down the path of darkness again." I said to her. "Well, one of us has to take it. This is why we came here. This never would have happened if everyone listened to me when I said we should forget about this planet!" Acarna said. "We have to take it back! Or else this would be for nothing!" I said to her. She sighed and looked from the saber back to me, thinking.

    "All right.......all right. We'll take the saber. But, we're both going to grab it at the same time. Maybe it will cancel out most of the effects." Acarna said and I nodded. We reached out our hands towards the saber. "On three.........1........2.......3!" Acarna said and we grabbed it at the same time.

    All at once I felt so much power flowing all around me and in me. From the look on Acarna's face, I can tell she is feeling the same effects as I am. When I looked at our arms.......our veins were very prominent. Almost as if..........and I couldn't think anymore as I lost consciousness and I heard Acarna scream my name.

        Acarna's POV

    "EZRA!!!!" I screamed as Ezra fell to the ground. It was as if time stopped. I quickly clipped the saber to my belt and picked Ezra up, running out of there as fast as I could. I was back to the others within minutes and they looked at me before Kanan yelled Ezra's name.

    "What happened?!" they asked me. "We got the damn weapon that they wanted and it did this to him!" I explained. "Where's the weapon?" Hera asked. I unclipped the new saber and showed them. Kanan's eyes widened. "That's Darth Palagueis's saber! The Father of the Sith!" Kanan exclaimed while taking Ezra from my arms. In all honesty, Ezra is heavier than he looks, my arms would've gave out in a few minutes if Kanan didn't take him.

    "We have to go. Chopper just said that a ship is incoming!" Sabine said. "Alright you heard the lady! Let's go!" Kanan said and we all ran back to the Ghost. I stayed at the back cause I feel him and he's not alone. This is all my fault! If I wouldn't have had that 'episode' and released my Force signature than this wouldn't be a problem! I made this mistake and I'm gonna be the one to fix it.

    By the time we got to the ship, it was already running. I stopped in my tracks as a lightwhip cut off my path. Just a few inches in front of my face. The others turned around on the ramp and stood there, not knowing what to do.

    "Go! Leave me! I'll be fine!" I said to them. "No! We aren't leaving you! You are not alone anymore Acarna! We will face this person together!" Sabine said, drawing her blasters and aiming at the man behind me. I finally turned around to face him.

    "Been a long time. Hasn't it, Princess?" the man, one of the Knights of Ren, Midnight said to me. "Midnight.....and here I was thinking that we'd never get to fight again." I stated, getting into a fighting stance. "I would but, I kicked your ass last time. Besides, I'm not here to fight. I'm here to get you and your Brother and take you both back to Shili." Midnight said. "I'm not going back! So you can take that information and stick it up your ass!" I said. If you haven't noticed, Midnight and I don't get alone. He's always been a rival of mine and I can't stand him! He sighed and flicked his wrist.......the one holding the lightwhip. I forgot about it and in less than a few seconds, I felt a stinging pain on my back lek. I cried out in pain as my legs gave out. "Guess I'll just have to injure you first." Midnight said, getting his whip ready.

    He didn't get the chance because in that moment that I screamed and fell, Sabine and the others started firing their blasters. A few would of hit Midnight if he didn't dodge well. Soon, I felt arms lift me up and I knew right away it was Zeb. I whimpered slightly as the injured part of my lek brushed against his arm. Lekku and lek are very sensitive. And it doesn't help now that I won't be able to walk for a few days. Ya see, the lek is connected to our motion, aka movement. So now I'll have difficulty walking at least for a week or two. Zeb ran onto the ramp and it was closing as we were getting airborne.

    "Are you alright?" Zeb asked as he set me down. "If fine you mean not being able to walk for a week or two than ya, I'm just peachy." I said. Zeb seemed confused so Hera explained about the sensitivity and stuff about our Lekku. "Where is Ezra?" I asked them. "He's in the med bay with Kanan." Hera said. "Alright, contact home base. I want a meeting with all of the commanding officers. It's time they get a good talking to. They don't get a choice." I said, gritting my teeth. 'More like they need a hole in their body with a Lightsaber.' I thought to myself. I knew it was going to take at least a day and a half to get back to base so I asked Zeb if he could help me to my room. This whole thing has made me really tired. The last thought on my mind was........where was he if I only saw Midnight?

[ So I'm really surprised with myself this only took me two days. I started it last night XD

    So one of the Ren's showed up!! Uh-oh!! Acarna's lek is injured and she's not a happy camper right now!! And how will Darth Palagueis's saber affect Ezra and Acarna?! What will Anakin's reaction be when he see's his children injured?!

    Oh and I looked up information about Lekku/lek/Montrals. Lekku are the 'tails' that Twi'lek's and Togruta's have. The single one on the back of Togruta's is called a lek. And Montrals are the cone-like things on the top of a Togruta and they both get longer with age. So, to sum it up, Twi'leks and Togruta's both have Lekku. While Togruta's are the only ones who have Montrals.
