Are We Meant To Be? *2nd book of the Other Half Trilogy*

~ Ch. 41 ~

                 Hera's POV

    "What?! I will not put my crew in that situation!!"  Kanan yelled at Lux. We were currently in the meeting room part of the command ship and Lux asked us if we would do a mission. It's apparently risky but, he thought it would suit us because we have three Jedi on our team. "Acarna is mentally and emotionally unstable! Putting her in the field could cause a problem!!" Anakin said, defending his daughter. "Not to mention that if she is spotted than the whole Empire would know where we are!" Kanan said. I could tell that he still doesn't trust Acarna completely yet.

    "What is with you?! This is my Sister we are talking about! We can trust her!" Ezra than came into the room, causing all of us to look at the door as he stared at Kanan. Disbelief and shock written all over his face, clear as day. "Ezra p-" Kanan started to say but Ezra interrupted him. "No! I don't want to hear it! Saying that you don't trust her is the same as saying that you don't trust me!" Ezra said, then stormed out of the room. Leaving the rest of us stunned and silenced at his actions. I saw the look on Kanans face. A look of sadness and anger, directed at himself. He sighed as if Ezra was the final vote on this matter.

    "Alright. We'll take this mission and bring Acarna along." Kanan said turning to Lux. "Wait, how do I know that you won't try to kill my daughter?" Anakin asked, raising a brow. "I am not a murderer." Kanan stated, looking coldly at Anakin, with Anakin looking right back at Kanan, just as coldly. You could cut the tension in the room with a knife. It was interrupted when Master Obi-wan coughed. "Alright, your crew shall depart for the Kanto system in a few hours. We need this mission to be top priority. And this has to be clean cut. No mistakes. That's how important this is." Master Obi-wan stated. "There is no room for mistakes. If what we are told about this is true. Than it will spell doom for the Rebellion if the Empress gets her hands on it." Lux said. It sorta made me sad that Lux was referring his Sister as the 'Empress.' "Alright, come on Kanan. Let's go fill in the others." I said, grabbing Kanan and we began our walk back to the Ghost.

    "Hera......can I talk to you?" I turned and saw Lux behind us. "Go on. I'll be their shortly." I said to Kanan, and he left us. Lux and I kissed after Kanan left. "Please promise me you'll come back." Lux said, as we hugged. "This mission will be easy. Trust me. What could possibly go wrong?" I asked him, trying to lighten the mood. He gave me a sad smile. "Hera........my Sister wants her children. And you are with both of them now. If word gets out to her about their location..........your life will be in jeopardy. I couldn't live with myself if something happened to you." Lux said. I kissed him again. "Don't worry. She's been trying to catch us for years and she hasn't been able to know has she?" I asked him smirking. He smiled lightly and we hugged. "I love you." he said. "I love you too." I said, and we parted from our hug and I went to the crew as he went towards the main hangar.

             Ezra's POV

    What was he thinking?! Not trusting Acarna?! That's like saying he doesn't trust me!! I paced in the living area of the Ghost. I was going to Acarna's room but, I sensed she was sleeping and that Zeb was still with her. I slid down the wall, sitting on the ground. What's worse is that he's my other Half and this hurts that he thinks this way about one of my family members. Bobba and Sabine walked in a few minutes later and Sabine grew concerned. I guess it was the look on my face that gave it away.

    "Ezra? What's the matter?" Sabine asked, sitting next to me on the floor. I sighed and told her everything that I overheard at the meeting. Mainly what Kanan said about my Sister and me confronting him about it, in front of everyone. It really hurts me that he thinks that way about Acarna. I've never been so hurt in my life............the only time I've felt pain like this is when my Aunt and Uncle were taken away from me. I thought I knew pain then but this...............this pain is on a whole different scale. I guess I started to cry cause I felt Sabine wiping my tears away.

    "Come on. You can stay in my room for now. I still have a top bunk." Sabine said, smiling. I smiled slightly and nodded. Her and Bobba helped me up and the three of us were walking out of the living area when Hera and Kanan came in. I kept my head low and Sabine whispered something to Bobba and he nodded and Bobba and I headed to Sabine's room. Seconds later I heard a loud 'SMACK' and guessed that Sabine hit Kanan, pretty hard too with how loud it was.

    "She didn't have to do that." I said to Bobba. "You know she would've done it anyway. If she didn't do it, I would've done it. What Kanan did was low, very low. I never would've done that to you." Bobba said. I sighed and my eyelids felt heavy. From what I'm guessing as lack of sleep. I really haven't gotten that much sleep lately. I'm not sure why either. The last thing I remember is Bobba kissing me on my forehead as he laid me on the spare bunk in Sabine's room.

[ OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'VE BEEN SO BUSY LATELY WITH COLLEGE WORK I'M SORRY I HAVEN'T UPDATED IN AWHILE!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, and about the picture, I thought it captures the moment but, instead of Hera comforting Ezra it would be Sabine but, they didn't have any pictures with Sabine and Ezra like this one so I think it's good enough!! Really if ya want you can just switch out in your mind Hera for Sabine ^_^

Questions: UH-OH!!!!!!!! Kanan and Ezra got into their first 'lover's spat'!!!! OMFG MARK THIS OCCASION!!!! But, the main problem!! How will this affect their mission?! Is this going to screw everything up?! And probably the biggest question!!!! DOES BOBBA STILL LOVE EZRA?!?!?!?!?!
