~ Ch. 53 ~

                   Neveah's POV

    As I walked further down my path, I could feel immense power coming closer and closer. Once I stepped around I fell to my knees in shock. Standing before me......was the Empress. B-but h-how?! The only way that she knew we would be here was if..........Acarna!! That traitor!! I knew it!! I knew she'd find a way to tell her Mother. Suddenly, a body jumped infront of mine and it was as if timed stopped. In front of me was none other.........than my Mom. Lightsaber in hand, she fought the Empress.

    "MOM!!!! DON'T FIGHT HER!! PLEASE!! LET'S JUST RUN!!!!" I cried out to her, feeling the tears pouring down my face. It was horrible watching it the first time.............this time...........I can't bare it!! "Neveah! Sweetie, I want you to get out of here as fast as you can and never look back! I promise I'll come and find you!" Mom said, blocking a few of the blows sent her way. "Stay where you are girl! Once she is fallen, you shall be trained under the new order." the Empress said to me. "YOU WILL NOT GET HER!!" Mom yelled at her. I couldn't move......all I could do was sit and watch the fight before me.

    "MMMMMOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!!!!!!" I screamed off the top of my lungs as I watched, for the second time, the Empress stab her right through the chest. I screamed so badly that I passed out. A moment later though, I was in my bed, on the Ghost. Wait......I was on Shikarai with Ezra and the others? Wasn't I? I couldn't think much of it as I heard an alarm going off and sounds of fighting. I instantly rushed out of my room, grabbing my lightsaber in the process.

    "What's going on?!" I asked a person who was running beside me. "Our locations been compromised! We are under attack!" he yelled, before I could ask him who, an explosion rocked the ship. I got up right away and ran to where I heard lightsaber fighting. When I entered the room............I was shocked beyond belief.

    Laying on the ground where the bodies.................of Hera, Sabine, Zeb, Kanan and Bobba. Wait........where's Ezra?! Where's Luke!?! Are they safe?! What happened here?! I heard more fighting and looked up in time to see Luke..........fighting not only the Empress.........but also...........Acarna. I knew we should've never trusted her!

    "Luke!!" I called out to him, igniting my saber and running over to him. "Neveah!! Run! Get away!" Luke yelled to me. With me distracting him, it caused the Empress to gain the upper hand and kicked him, causing him to go back a few feet. I wanted to rush to his aide but, I couldn't move. Why?! Why can't I move?! The Empress than gave a nod to Acarna, who was smiling sadistically as she walked over to Luke........who couldn't get up. "Luke!! Luke you got to get up!!" I cried out to him, that's when I saw.........his broken leg. "Luke!!" I yelled again but, couldn't move. Damn you legs move!!

    "Neveah....I love you." Luke said, right before Acarna smirked at me and laughed viciously as she stabbed Luke in the chest........It was as if time stopped as my world crashed around me. The crew, my new friends.........were dead. Luke, my love......was dead and Ezra..........is nowhere to be found. "Ezra! Ezra! Where are you!?" I shouted, hoping to get a reply from him.

    "I'm right here, cousin." Ezra said. It sound like he was behind me, but, I didn't move cause in that instant, a red lightsaber appeared next to my neck. It's owner moved around me to reveal...........Ezra.........with...........gold Sith eyes. What?! How did this happen?! My gaze turned to Acarna as she was still laughing slightly while smiling at me.

    "You!! WHAT DID YOU DO TO EZRA?!" I yelled at her. "My Sister didn't do anything to me. The only thing she did do, was help me see the truth." Ezra stated. "Oh? And what 'truth' did she show you?" I spat, angrily. "That I belong with my family. Ruling the Empire beside them and becoming the Prince that is my birthright." Ezra explained. "W-what about Kanan? You loved him! Did he mean absolutely nothing to you?!" I asked him, anger still laced in my voice. "Who said he was dead?" the Empress stated. Her attention turned to Kanan's lying form and waved her hand. I focused on Kanan and saw that he was only knocked out, not dead.

    "Ezra? What are you going to do with Kanan?" I asked him. He just smiled at me like I was dumb. "When he wakes up, he's going to live with me at the Palace on Shili. Mother has already agreed to let us be together." Ezra stated. "Of course though........there's no room for you to tag along." Acarna said, still with that sadistic smile on her face. This made me nervous as Ezra had that same smile on his face. "Ezra snap out of it! This isn't you! We are family!!" I said to him, trying to get through to him. He only scoffed at my remark, moving his lightsaber to my stomach.

    "How are we family if you can't even protect that?" Ezra asked. I looked down and saw a lot of blood coming down from in-between my legs and felt a sharp pain in my abdomen at the same time. It hurt so much that I dropped my saber and fell to my knees. I looked up at the three who were looking down at me. "Ezra, kill her and you shall be one of us. A true Sith." the Empress told him, smiling evilly.

    "Ezra! You are not one of them! You are not a Sith!! You are a Jedi!!" I said to him and shut my eyes as I saw fast movement. I opened my eyes a minute later and the scene changed. Now, I was kneeling in a grassy field. I stood up and looked around and my eyes landed on a Force Ghost, standing next to me. I jumped a little at the scare and kneeled next to him.

    "What has this lesson told you? Better yet, what do you think it's taught you?" the ghost asked. I recognized the ghost as Master Mace Windu. "What do you mean Master Windu?" I asked him, confusion clear on my face. "There is a hidden message in what you were shown. What do you think it is?" Master Windu asked. I thought for a few minutes before answering him. "I'm not sure what it means Master Windu." I said truthfully.

    "Padawan Neveah, you have overcome your fear and accepted the past. You have displayed your willingness to move on and believe in the goodness of those who are conflicted of their darkness." Master Windu said. "I-I............." I tried to find the words to say but, nothing came to mind.

    "Think of the past months. What has happened to you within this time?" Master Windu asked. "I........I found my Cousin. I made friends with members of the Rebellion. I've joined a good cause." I said, thinking about what's happened up until now. "Exactly. You don't have to wander no more. You have a family. You have found a new life. You are know longer a Wanderer. You have found your place to be. Go forth and remember, your life is changed. For the better." and with him saying that, Master Windu's ghost, disappeared as a pathway glowed. I followed it.

    I entered a room and I saw Luke sitting at a table. I started to cry as I ran up to him and we hugged. I explained everything about my encounter and he did the same. I grew tired shortly after and decided to take a short nap, using Luke's shoulder as a pillow.

[ Phew!! I didn't think I'd be able to get this up before the end of the week. But, here it is!!

    With two people done with their Force Trails........what are the others facing??!! Will the others all pass?? Or will one of them fail?! What are Hera, Sabine, Zeb, and Bobba doing while waiting for the others??
