"Get up!" Alan shouts at me as he drags me from the floor. The bullet hole in my thigh stings like a fire spreading through my body as he drags me across the floor. His arm is wrapped tightly around my neck as he digs his gun into my temple.
"What are you doing?" I ask through gritted teeth, trying to control the additional pain he was causing me.
"Unlock the door." Alan orders me as he pushes me towards the door. I do as I'm told and unlock the door. Alan pulls me so he once again has control over me. He pushes me out of the door; I struggle to stay on my feet as I fall through the door. "Come near me and he dies!" Alan shouts as he holds the gun tighter to my head.
"Alan, give yourself up and we can work out a deal!" Hotch shouts over using a loudspeaker.
"No deal, follow me and he dies!" Alan shouts once again as he shoves me into the front seat, throwing me across to the passenger seat. He starts the car and drives off.

"Are we just going to let him take Spencer?" JJ cries as she watches the car speed away from the scene.
"There's roadblocks all over the city, he won't get far." Cruz states as he walks back over to the surveillance van.
"Where's Alannah?" Hotch asks as he watches the hostages pour out of the café.
"I don't see her." Rossi says as he looks on with Hotch.
Hotch doesn't wait any longer, he takes off running across the street into the café to find Alannah lying unconscious on the floor. He runs over to her, falling to the floor as he checks her pulse. "Alannah, Alannah can you hear me?" Hotch calls out but there's no reply. "Get a medic in here now!" Hotch shouts sending people into a frenzy of activity.
Two medics run in and see to Alannah as the rest of the team watch on. "We need to get her to hospital now." One of the medics says.
"She's about a month pregnant." Hotch says, knowing that Alannah would care more about the baby than about herself.
"We'll check them both out at the hospital. It looks to be blunt force trauma to the back of the head, she might have a concussion but they should both be fine."
"I'm going with her," Hotch says as he looks at the team, he wasn't going to let her be alone; she was going to have questions when she woke up and Hotch wanted to be the one to answer them. "You guys can cope without me, I don't want her waking up and no one to answer the questions she's going to have."
Hotch directs the conversation to Rossi since he would be able to understand more now that he knew how close Hotch and Alannah were. "That's ok, we can manage without you, go be with her."
Hotch nods in agreement as the paramedics begin to wheel Alannah out. The team follow them to the ambulance "Keep me informed." Hotch orders as he climbs into the ambulance.
"We will." Morgan says as the doors of the ambulance close.
"So now what?" JJ asks, turning back to the rest of the team as the ambulance drives off.

"There's gonna be roadblocks up, police checkpoints, you'll never get out of the city." I try to reason with Alan as he speeds down an empty road. The city is like a ghost town because of the hostage situation.
"Don't you worry about that, I have a way out" Alan says, his stare glued to the road as he drove. This wasn't going to end well.
"Alan please, if you care about Alannah you wouldn't put her through this."
"I did love her, more than you know. But things change I don't know what happened, somewhere along the line she just wasn't enough anymore."
"A lot of relationships lose their spark after a while, that's no excuse to beat and rape her as well as murder women who remind you of her."
"You could never understand. To be honest, I don't fully understand it; I just can't stop."
"We can get you some help."
"What's the point? Even if your team catch me I'll be up for the death sentence, there's no way out of this for me. So I figure I would take you with me."

I can hear a faint beeping and voices, two of them. I recognise one of the voices, its Hotch. "So both Alannah and the baby are fine."
"Physically yes the baby's heartbeat is strong Alannah will just have a headache, but everything she's been through I wouldn't be surprised if there's some emotional or mental damage done to her. She will need someone to talk to when she comes round." The other voice says.
"I'll wait with her until she wakes up, she's going to have questions about what happened to Spencer." Hotch's voice rings in my ears. What was happening with Spencer?
"I'll leave you to it. Come and get me when she wakes up." The other voice says.
I hear footsteps before the sound of old leather squeak. I try to move my figures, I guess catching the attention of Hotch. "Alannah, can you hear me?"
"Yeah, I can, could you keep it down my head is banging." I say as I open my eyes allowing for the sudden influx of light that has invaded my eyes.
"I'm sorry," Hotch says in a quitter tone. "Alannah what can you remember?"
"I... I'm not sure. I remember Alan being mad. He took me somewhere; a café, Spencer was there. Oh my God, where is he, where's Spencer?" I jump up, hurting the wound in my stomach.
Hotch places his hands on my shoulders to relax me. "Alannah, you need to rest."
"No, I need to see Spencer, where is he Hotch?" Hotch gives me a sorry look and I get a sinking feeling in my stomach. "No please tell me that he isn't..." I can't bring myself to say the words.
"He's not dead, at least not that we know of."
"What do you mean?"
"We don't know where he is. Alan took him hostage after he knocked you out. All of the other hostages were set free."
"You have to find him Hotch, please, I need him; we need him." I cry as I clutch at my stomach.
"We'll find him, I promise you." Hotch says as he wraps his arms around me in a comforting hug as I cry into his shoulder.
