"Hey Taya." My sister said coming into the house.
"Hey." I said giving her a hug.
"How are you feeling?" She asked.
"I'm good, I've gotten myself together." I told her honestly.
"I'm glad listen sissy, everything is gonna work out boo." She smiled at me.
"I know, I've just got to start over again."
"Why not do what you love?" She asked me.
"I know, but that kind of stuff takes money. Money that I don't have." I told her.
"Since when are you Miss Negativity?" she asked me
"I just want to be realistic." I told her.
"I get it sissy. I just hope one of these days you stop letting that stuff get in the way. You're on the cusp of being a legend, and you just won't believe in yourself." She shook her head.
"I'm praying on it. Okay?" I asked her.
"Okay, but that's not gonna work for very long." She told me hugging me. "I've got to get out of here. My soon to be hubby is on his way." She smiled.
I nodded. "Have fun." I told her.
"You gonna be okay tonight?" She asked me.
"Yeah I'll be fine." I nodded to her.
"Okay, tomorrow evening you and me cool?"she asked.
"Yeah." I said hugging her. "I love you."
"Love you more." She squeezed me and she left out.
I sighed packing my overnight bag. My phone rang off, and I picked it up quickly seeing Reginald texted me.
I can't help but smile at that. I kind of wish I had friends to talk to about Reginald and how I feel about him. Going into this thing completely blind is a lot for me. Being completely vulnerable is so different for me.
I quickly got into the car, the guys still let me uses thankfully, and I set my GPS so that it could navigate me to Reginald's house. His house from my apartment is about forty minutes long, so I can understand completely why he doesn't want us to have to drive back and forth.
"Hello." I said picking up my phone.
"Hey baby, you still coming?" He asked.
"Yeah, I'm in route." I told him.
"Bae your in route is I'm about to leave the house.
I laughed knowing it is very well true. "Actually, I'm in the car."
"Yeah, prove it." He said and I beeped the horn.
"Oh snap baby girl." He said.
"See, I told you." I said proudly.
"You did baby, but get off the phone. I don't want to be a distraction." He told me
"Okay, I am like Fifteen away."
"Cool see you in a few." He told me and I hung up my cell phone.
I rode down a little more looking at the weather, and how nice it is out today.
Everyday, I find myself wanting more and more to open up to Reginald. It's just so hard, to revisit those places. They remind me of all the crazy stuff that I went through and even though my story isn't the worse, it's hard to carry on with a smile knowing every thing isn't okay.
I sighed getting out of the car and seeing Reginald stand on the porch of his home.
"Welcome baby." He said kissing my cheek.
