Reginald's POV
"Good Morning." I said feeling A'taya's arms wrap around me from the back.
"Morning." She sighed out as I stood in the kitchen making her eggs and toast for breakfast.
"What's wrong baby?" I asked her turning around and kissing her lips.
"I'm tired." She mumbled holding onto me.
I kissed the top of her head. "Yea, well then you can sleep on the plane." I told her.
"And I don't want to leave you." She pouted and I held her even closer.
"You'll be back before you know it babe." I told her.
"But I want to stay with my boyfriend like I have for the past week and enjoy him." She said.
Throughout this week A'taya and I have really gotten to spend a lot of time together. Most nights we ended up at our own homes, after spending all day and night together other then when I had to work, but tonight I had A'taya stay at my place because she has a flight to catch this morning and I will be driving her to the airport.
"But you have to work." I told her
"I know." She groaned. "Come with me?"
"We went over this babe. You know I can't. I'm swamped in work." I explained to her and she sighed sitting on one of the chairs by the counter top.
"Yeah, I know."
"Look, I tell you this if you go to New York and kill it like I know you can and will, then I will have something planned for just the two of us when you get back."
She smiled. "That sounds fun, but don't forget when I come back Daddy and I are going car shopping. "
"Okay. I still don't understand why I couldn't help you."
"Because, you're my boyfriend and I don't want you spending money on me." She explained for the millionth time.
"Well, I'm your boyfriend and not only do I like spending money on you but I enjoy knowing that you're safe and comfortable in whatever dream vehicle you'd like."
"I'm gonna be safe and comfortable and whatever daddy and I pinky promise." She said giving me her pinky finger.
"I don't do that." I said referencing her pinky
She rolled her eyes. "Give me your pinky!"
"Alright, but don't tell anyone I did this." I sighed and she smiled then pecked my cheek sweetly.
"see, when you make me happy you get rewards." She blushed.
"Yeah? Well next time I want it a little more to the right." I told her.
I have noticed over the past few days that A'taya is really shy and low key. She doesn't like showing PDA, and she doesn't like to initiate anything as far as us touching or kissing unless it's a simple hug.
"Why you looking at me like that?" She asked me.
"Because, I'm figuring you out."
"Oh yeah?" She smirked. "What did you figure out?"
"That you're really shy when it comes to displaying affection."
"I'm not shy, just modest." She said shrugging her shoulders.
"Why are you that way?" I asked her. "You're like that with a lot of things."
"I have really bad insecurities when it comes to
Certain things as you know one being my decision making and what people will think. I grew up in the church and it's known to be one of the most loving and also critiquing set of people." I shrugged. "I grew up feeling like I had to be modest and I had to always think of what others thought of me so even kissing on the cheek I'm not used to doing in such an intimate way." She explained and I nodded.
