"Hello." I said picking up my phone.
"Hey sister! You up?" A'taya asked.
"Yes I am." I told her putting a moisturizer on my face.
"Okay cool. Well I'm packing up for the models now. We should be leaving in about an hour and a half." She said.
"That's fine. I'm dressed and packed up." I told her.
"Dang! How you do all of that and we went out last night. I'm beat." She said
"Easy, I packed all my work stuff separate from my personal stuff and didn't unpack it." I told her
"You smart." She said
"Thanks, now get about that life and hurry up. I'm hungry." I said.
"Alright, in forty five come downstairs and get your face beat." My sister said.
"Alright." I said and hung up.
I grabbed the television remote and flipped through the channels until I had an idea to call Reginald.
"Good Morning!" I said smiling while sitting in my bed with my legs crossed over one another.
"Good Morning Beautiful." He said causing me to blush.
"How are you?" I asked. "Better yet, how was last night?" I asked him.
"I actually ended up staying home because my mother is here and she wouldn't let me go. " he said. "Other than that I'm good."
"What you mean?" I asked him laughing.
"She told me I wasn't going out." He shrugged
I smirked. "I have got to meet her."
"You will. Very soon. How was last night for you?" He asked.
"It was fun." I smiled genuinely. "It was nice hanging out and talking to women other than Karen."
"Well I'm glad you had fun beautiful." He said looking at me closely through the phone.
"Yeah, thanks. I'm ready to come home though." I said.
"You just got there." He said scrunching up his face. "Is something wrong?"
"No," I said lowly before looking at his eyes through the camera." I just want to come home to you." I said biting my lip.
He smirked and his smiled faltered a little bit. "Yeah?" He asked.
"Yes." I nodded. "I miss you." I said honestly.
"I miss you too A'taya." He said and closed his eyes breathing in and out deeply.
"You okay?" I asked him.
"Yeah baby. You know I love you right?" He asked
"Yeah, I know." I said uneasy watching his face.
"Look, I've got to go okay." He said and I nodded.
"Alright, call me late-" I said before the phone cut off.
He's never hung up on me so abruptly before. Maybe he's just busy or something.
I shook my head getting my mind off of it and grabbed my sneakers before getting my coat and suit cases full with all of the things I may need to complete the looks.
