"A'taya. Please, help me." Karen asked.
"Help you do what Tay?" I asked her hopping on one foot trying to get dressed.
"Help me put on my lash!" She yelled causing me to groan.
"Okay, I'll try my best." I told her pulling up my spanx
I carefully put glue on the last and sighed. "Hold still." I told her and put her lash on her lid.
She smiled. "That was perfect." She said looking at it and fanning her eye. "Do the other one." She told me and I nodded.
"Here we go." I said.
"I'm ready to see my dress." She told me.
"Okay, it's exactly what you wanted. Cathedral length veil with lace trimmings, strapless ballgown no bling, but great detailing-"
"Just take the dress out! I wanna see it!" She told me and I nodded.
Karen, being the dare devil she is let me sketch her dress and only tried it on with a blind fold on so, she has basically no idea what the dress looks like until now. She does however, have a dress that she picked out just in case she hates this one, it's supposed to be her second dress but it still could work as both a ceremony and reception dress.
"Oh my god." She said. "It's stunning. You took exactly what I wanted and put it on a dress." She said touching the dress and the detailing along the front.
"That's not the best part. Look at this." I said referring to her veil.
"You out did yourself, seriously." She said.
"I'm glad you like it." I said and she hugged me.
"Don't make me cry A'taya." She popped me causing me to laugh.
"I'm trying man. I'm trying." I said and held her as she began to slip in the dress.
I sighed once she got in it seeing how good she looked in it.
"Now, I got you these." I said. "They are your something new." I said placing earrings in her earrings. "And this is your something borrowed." I said putting a tennis bracelet around her arm.
"Wow, this is beautiful A'taya." She sniffed. "Your mothers bracelet. " she said.
"Yeah." I nodded. "When I was younger,my mother used to say how I would get to wear it on important days and if I ever let someone wear it, tell them about how special it is and how much power it holds. I guess you can say it's your something old too." I smiled.
"Thank you." She said hugging me.
"You're welcome. You sit down and put some lipgloss on, and then go downstairs while I get dressed." I instructed her.
"I wanted you to be dressed with me." She pouted.
"Well, I had to go check on things." I shrugged. "Plus you have to go take pictures in the bridal sweet." I said.
Karen didn't want to get dressed in the bridal sweet, but she wanted to take pictures in it. Pretending to put on her jewelry and where she will show everybody else meaning the women , the first look at her dress.
Karen has a small wedding party, one bridesmaid and one maid of honor. Although she has friends, she didn't want them to be in the wedding party because it would be more to worry about, so naturally she chose me, and she also chose Kenya, RiShawn's wife to also be in the wedding party making it even because Rich wanted both his brothers to be in the wedding.
