"Hello." I whined picking up my phone.
"Hey Sissy, we going out tonight you down?" She asked.
"No. I'm tired." I groaned sitting up.
"Oh please! It's just dinner."
"I've been with you all day, came home and went to the fabric store-"
"Fabric store? For what?"
"I'm gonna start sewing, putting my pieces together and then I am going to create a website. Maybe a little boutique not sure yet." I told her.
"Hell got to be freezing over."
"You know what leave me alone." I laughed.
"Come on A'taya."
"I honest to God don't want to go." I told her.
"Oh please for your sister."
"Alright, alright." I sighed getting up and out of bed.
"That's why I love you." She told me.
"Mmhm, whatever. I need my hair done."
I told her."So do it and let's go." She said singing
"Stop before you kill off my eardrum." I rolled my eyes.
"You can't kill an eardrum."
"You know what I meant." I rolled my eyes lightly and got up looking in my closet.
"Worse part about this is I have nothing to wear." I said twisting my lips.
"You've got to have something." She rolled her eyes.
"I found what I am going to wear. I'll call you when I'm dressed." I told her and hung up.
After getting dressed, I put a little red lipstick on and grabbed my sandals that match my heels. In a little ill put them on depending on how everyone else is dressed.
I grabbed my pocket book, keys and phone before walking out of my room.
"Y'all could have let me know you were coming home. I wouldn't have taken so long." I said seeing my sister and Richard sitting down on the couch.
"You're good." My sister said not looking at me. "Now we can go. I'm starved." She exaggerated.
"Where we going to eat?" I asked her turning around.
"Oh my goodness. You look great!" She said
"Thank you." I smiled at her genuinely.
"Wait, my phone." I said as we were about to leave out.
"Hey daddy." I said picking up.
"Baby girl I need help."
"What's wrong, aren't you supposed to be doing a benefit tonight?"
"Yes and the woman who was supposed to sing and also minister came down with something." He told me.
I blew out a breath. "Alright, I'm going to dinner but we can detour to you. I have to be in and out though daddy." I warned him.
"Thank you so much baby girl. Alright, I'll have you up right after me. I promise not to be long winded." He babbled.
"Alright daddy."" I laughed. "Send me the address." I told him and we hung up.
"What happened?" Karen asked.
"Well you know it's the young adults conference tonight. The woman who was supposed to minister tonight isn't able to make it. I'm gonna fill in for her."
