Chapter 27- Come Again? (Pt.2 of 3)

Léannah'sPOV

I was literally about to shit bricks when I saw Justin sitting at the table. Dad said 'Laurence' and the last time I checked this was 'Justin', the nigga I hated the most. This whole breakfast was so intense and awkward. Justin couldn't stop staring at me, I couldn't stop glaring at him and Ray was trying so hard to control his anger. Dad and Lauryn were to busy in there own world to understand what was going on and Laylani was on her to avoid paying attention to this awkwardness. I was more than glad when dad and Lauryn were ready to leave but we still had a full day ahead of us with them. 

We all stood outside of iHop. Dad and Lauryn were having a conversation leaving us kids to stand awkwardly around each other. "Azailey can I talk to you real quick?" I just looked at him like he was stupid.

"No." I said bluntly and crossed my arms.

"Please." He pleaded.

I rolled my eyes and slightly nodded my head to the left as an indication to walk. "Azailey, I promise I didn't know anything about this." Obviously he could tell I didn't like being around him.

"I don't care Justin or is it Laurence now?" My arms were still crossed while I stared intensely at him.

He let out a frustrated sigh and said, "Laurence was my dad's name and my middle name. My mom started calling me that after he died 6 years ago." 

My facial expression instantly soften. I knew how it felt to lose a parent so I couldn't help but feel sympathetic. "I'm so sorry for your lost, I didn't know your dad died."

"Yeah, its cool though." There was an awkward silence between us till he spoke again, "I'm really sorry Azailey for what I did in the pa-" 

"I don't even wanna hear it." I turned to walk away but he grabbed my arm and turned me around. 

"Azailey, please just hear me out." 

"No, Justin. I can never forgive you for what you did." And that meant for what he did to me back in Canada and him trying to kill Trevor.

I walked away from him after he didn't say anything. I went and stood next to Ray while dad and Lauryn finished their conversation. Ray was having a conversation with Laylani. I liked Laylani. She didn't seem anything like Justin. She was shy, soft spoken and polite. 

A few moments after dad walked over us with Lauryn. They both had big smiles on their faces- which, by the way, scare me. "We're going to 6 Flags. You guys will take my car and Lauryn and I will take her car." He said handing Ray the keys. "Don't crash my car Rayan."

Is dad trying to cause a conflict. I know he feels the tension between us so why would he want us all to be crammed in one car together. Ray kissed his teeth and took the keys from dad. "Whats with you and calling me from my first name now a days?"

"Because that's the only way you listen." Then he turned to me. "Léannah, please make sure Ray stays out of trouble today."

"Shouldn't it be the other way around?" Ray asked raising his eyebrow.

"If only." Dad sighed causing me and Laylani to giggle. "Here's the tickets Léannah. If you guys get there and you don't see us then go in but text me once you get in." I nodded.

"Have fun guys." Lauryn said and walked away with dad behind her.

"Ray let me drive, please!" I begged him after dad and Lauryn got in her car and drove off.

"Hell no! I'm tryna live to see tomorrow." He said snatching the keys away from me when I tried to grab them.

"Please Ray. I already got my permit, it will be good practice."
