Chapter 8- Family

Léannah'sPOV

Everything last night was a blur. The last thing I remember was my confrontation with Trevor. I gotta admit though, I miss him. I asked Ray what happened last night and he looked like he seen a ghost. "Well you were dancing with some random guy and then I brought you to the car cause you were drunk and then you were rambling about how Trevor hurt you and you trusted him then...." He trailed off.

"Then?" I asked then squinted my eyes from my headache.

"Then something happened between us" he mumbled so I couldn't hear him.

"What?"

He took a deep breath and sighed, "Léannah last night when you got drunk I took you back to the car and you tried to seduced me. I promise you that nothing happened cause I stopped it from going to something it wasn't suppose to. Léannah I'm sorry" he said so fast and nervously.

But after soaking everything in, I realized what he just said. I didn't want to believe him but the look in his eyes told me it was true. He's like my brother- scratch that- he is my brother and the fact that I did that was just wrong. I felt so embarrassed and dirty. I didn't even wanna face Ray. "Um thanks for telling me" I said quickly and sped out his room.

"Léannah!" I heard him call after me but I just continued walking to my room.

I walked in and closed the door and laid on my bed. My head was still killing me so I took the Advil and rested my head on my pillow. Believe it or not I always drink to escape from my problems but I've never gone so far to act out on people and become sexually aroused. I would stop but drinking is a habit for me when things don't go right. What Ray told me was burning me inside. I'm not mad at Ray because he stopped me but I'm just embarrassed that I went that far, especially with him. Don't get me wrong Ray is good looking and all but he's my brother and its wrong. Laying on my bed thinking about all this I realized it was Christmas. Since no one was up yet except for Ray I decided to stay in my room until Aloura or Chresanto wakes up. I stretched over to my bed stand to check my phone for the time but I didn't feel anything. Then I started to panic. My phone has everything in there like my contacts, messages, my feelings towards people and other personal stuff and if I lost it I would go crazy. Just then the door bell rang. I groaned and went downstairs to answer only to see Trevor standing there in his gray pajama pants and wife beater. "Merry Christmas," he said "you left your phone at the beach yesterday so I thought I should bring it back" he said handing the phone to me.

I took it and subconsciously gave him a big hug "thank you so much" I said as I hugged him.

He was shocked at first but then he hugged me back. I pulled away and looked at him to see a smile on his face "well I should be going," he said turning around to leave "oh and you probably should change your password since I know it" he smirked then walked off to his car and drove off.

I closed the door and blushed. The password to my phone is the date Trevor and I started going out. I blushed even more at the moment we just shared with no fighting or yelling, it just felt like when we were together. Damn he's getting to me.

About two hours ago Kenneth woke up and made everyone a Christmas breakfast. We opened our presents and talked for a while. I still avoided eye contact with Ray but I could feel his eyes burning into my skin. I told Aloura what happened and she told me I should just talk to Ray about it but I couldn't do it. I knew Chresanto knew what happened cause he wouldn't stop staring at me then at Ray then back at me. I felt so uncomfortable. "Aye my mom just texted me. I gotta go to my aunts house for dinner so I'll catch y'all later" Chresanto said
