Ray'sPOV

Just when Léannah and I were making progress shit had to knock us back 2 steps. I let my jealousy get the best of me and pushed her away. I really shit would get better but by the look of things it doesn't look like that's gonna happen. "Daddy wants us in his office." Léannah said coming downstairs and turning the corner to head down the hallway to dad's office.

I sighed and got up from the couch and headed to my dad's office. "Wassup?" I asked taking a seat next to Léannah.

"Um..well, how do I put this." Dad mumbled to himself.

"Just say it. It cant be that bad." Léannah said in a comforting tone.

"Um well..This Friday I want y'all to meet my girlfriend and her kids."

Hold zee fuck up. Girlfriend? Kids? The Fuck?

"Awwn daddy you found love!" Léannah cooed.

How the fuck can she be happy about this.

"How much kids does she have?"

"2" Dad answered Léannah

"How old are they?"

"13 and 16."

This news isn't getting any better.

"Names?"

Why does she keep asking questions.

"Laylani and Laurence."

They sound white.

"Are they white?" What a coincidental question.

"Does it matter?" Dad inquired.

"Kinda, yeah."

"No, they're black." Dad sighed.

"How long have you guys been dating?'

"6 months." THE FUCK???

I got up and went to my room. I didn't wanna listen anymore. I slammed my bedroom door and plopped down on my bed. How could he move on? I thought he loved my mom. I knew she loved him even after the divorce, I just knew she did. I don't need no other woman trying to play mommy to me with her two kids. I only got one mother and even though I never really got the chance to actually know her she can never be replaced.

After sulking in my room I heard the door slowly open. "Get out." I moaned into my pillow.

"Its me." I heard Léannah say shyly.

After that I heard her close the door and approached me. I turned around to where I was laying on my back and watched her sit down on my bed next to me. "Are you okay? Why did you storm out like that?" She asked me.

I just shook my head 'no' as if saying it was nothing. "I know it was something Ray don't even play."

Well then. "I just feel like..." I trailed off.

I didn't wanna sound like a little bitch in front of Léannah because I knew if one of the guys came to me about something like this I would simply tell them to man up and deal with it.

"You just feel like..." She said imitating me.

I sighed and took a deep breath. "I just feel like hes replacing my mom."

"Ray, no one is gonna replace your mom and or my mom. Trust, this woman couldn't be our mothers even if she tried but she makes dad happy. Dad is 45 years old, hes still considered young and he looks young too, he cant be single forever. At some point in time he has to move on with his life."
