Ray'sPOV

It's been a few weeks since Trevor's death. Léannah has been taking it pretty hard. She's been drinking a lot more, coming home late drunk and she's even been missing school, not that she's missing out on anything since there's only a week left of school but still, it's not like her. She hasn't been talking anyone. Danielle tried calling her a few times but she doesn't answer, Camilla and Chresanto tried texting her but she doesn't reply either and Aloura been texting, calling, facetiming, Facebook messaging, instagraming, tweeting, everything and Léannah hasn't made any effort to respond but one thing about Aloura is that she doesn't give up on her bestfriend so she doesn't stop trying. Léannah stays in her room all day doing God knows what and doesn't come out unless she's going out or at late at night when she gets hungry. She makes frequent eye contact with me begging for someone to talk to but whenever I try she always pushes me away. The only time anybody sees a genuinely real smile and any sense of happiness from her is when she's with Kaylani. Kaylani is the only one that can bring joy to Léannah. It drives me crazy that Léannah is moping around all depressed and shit and i cant do anything about it *sigh* I guess she needs a little more time. Walking down the hallway in school I bumped into someone. "Oh my bad shawty" I said helping her pick up her books.

When we got up I realized it was Kayla "it's okay Rayan, thank you" she said then hurried away.

That's another thing. Kayla's been nicer and less thirsty but she's also been jumpy and suspicious. I wonder what's up her ass now a days, probably Daniel's dick but if that was true she wouldn't be so unhappy. Oh well she ain't my problem. I continued making my way to English class when Mr. Kyle stopped me, "sorry to interrupt you Rayan but I was just wondering if Léannah is okay. I haven't seen her in a while and I just thought it was unusual" he said

"Yea she's fine," I said politely "she's still trying to deal with Trevor's death" I assured him.

"Yea, I did realize he was her boo thang" Mr. Kyle said and I started laughing.

"Sir, even thought your the youngest teacher at Jefferson High doesn't give you the right to use modern day vocabulary" I said still laughing.

"And just because your talking to a teacher doesn't give you the right to act all smart and literate" he said and smiled innocently.

I glared at him "that ain't even right sir" I said

"I'm just joking with you Rayan but I have to go now," he said preparing to leave "send Léannah my best wishes and I hope to see before the year ends" he said with a genuine smile

"Sure thang Mr. Kyle" I said and mr. Kyle shook his head smiling and turned to head down the hall but then turned back like he forgot something.

"Oh! And give this to her," he said pulling out a small purple book with silver glittery designs on it "she left this in my class a few weeks ago and she never came back to get it. Don't worry I didn't look inside" he said

"I'll make sure she gets it back" I said.

He nodded his head and then walked away. I examined the book and realized it was pretty thick. It looked like there was things glued to some of the pages. The book itself said Léannah, it was purple in the front with silver glittery designs on it and her name written in a silver sharpie and the back was light pink with gold glittery designs on it. Léannah is pretty girly and she's also very sensitive so I wouldn't be surprised if I opened this book and found a bunch of feelings written in it. Just thinking about that gave me the urge to open it and read it. I decided to go in the empty deserted classroom where everyone has their quickies during class. I knew I was suppose to be on my way to class but it's the last week of school, the fuck they gon do? Give me Saturday detention? Ha yea right. I sat on top of one the desk and stared at the book contemplating weather I should open it or not. You know what, fuck it, Léannah will never know if I read it. I opened the first page and began to read.
