Tuesday night, Gemma ran into Jason. Quite literally.
Again.
"Oh god, I've done it again." Gemma muttered, pushing her hair from her eyes, "I'm so sorry . . . I'm such a clutz."
He laughed kindheartedly. "It's quite alright. I'm a lucky guy to run into you twice."
More like collide twice, she thought. "It must be those lucky charms."
He looked confused for a moment, before remembering their earlier conversation. "Oh, forgot about that." He laughed, but she joined him, considerably more nervously.
"So, how are you liking the city?"
"Don't get me wrong, I like it, but it's a big change from where I come from."
"Where are you from?" She asked, and he took a step closer to her.
"Why don't I tell you over dinner?" He asked in a low, warm tone. She smiled, blushing and giddy and overly excited.
"Yes! Of course!" She exclaimed, before catching herself, "I mean, no biggie. Sure thing. Coolio."
Coolio? She internally scolded herself and her awkwardness.
"Tomorrow night sound good for you?" He asked, and she nearly hopped up and down in anticipation.
"PerfectI'llseeyouthen!" She spoke too quickly, melding her words together. She gave a little wave and rushed off, leaving him to smile after her.
