    Thursday evening Gemma had a knock on her door.

    She guessed who it was before she opened the door.

    They stood a foot apart, staring at each other in silence. She didn't know what to say, and neither did he. But his eyes traveled down to her lips, and she felt something spark in her chest.

    She reached out, grabbing the openings of his jacket, and fitted her mouth to his.

He moved forward, his hand sliding to the small of her back, his mouth moving quickly against hers. Within seconds she was pressed to the wall, her legs around his waist and his hands wandering.

Unlike earlier, the kiss wasn't gentle.

It was passionate, it left them gasping for breath, it left them thinking too much and of nothing at all. They were engulfed in a flurry of emotions, none of which including shyness.

His hand moved to the nape of her neck, pulling her, if possible, closer to him. He moved his lips to her shoulder, trailing kisses along her collarbone, before returning to her mouth.

She smiled into the kiss, and he couldn't think of a better feeling.

    Their frantic heartbeats fluttered together, pounding deafeningly in their ears, adrenaline contaminating their bloodstreams, their skin buzzing where they had touched, their stomachs twisting as they felt the drop;

    They were falling . . . ,

     and falling faster than ever before.
