Sunday morning the doorbell rang again.

She didn't want to answer it. But she did anyway.

No one was outside. But something was.

A bouquet of flowers, in a beautiful baby blue vase, sitting on her doormat.

She sighed, exasperated. Stop it, stop it, stop it.

She didn't want to forgive him. But he was making it hard.

Around noon the doorbell rang again. She refused to answer it.

Late afternoon it rang again. And in the early evening. And just before she was going to order her dinner.

"This is harassment." She deadpanned, as she finally opened the door.

On the floor were a box of lucky charms cereal, more flowers, and a box of chocolates. She sighed once again, and picked up all of her gifts to bring them inside.

She poured herself a box of the charms, not wanting to turn down free food. It was also quicker than ordering out. But as she ate, the doorbell rang again, and finally she was fed up with it.

She flung the door open, startling Jason, and dumped her bowl of lucky charms all over him. Drenched in milk and littered with cereal wasn't a good look on him.

"Now stop it." With that she slammed the door, despite him calling after her. She drowned out his pleading voice with her music, and eventually she drifted off to sleep.
