"Don? Can I take the blindfold off yet?" "Just 12 more steps." You smiled, stopping. "Exactly 12?" You heard a chuckle. "Yes, exactly 12." "Alright, I'm gonna count." 1.. 2.. 3.. "Are you sure it has to be 12?" He sighed, handing you what he was holding. You yelped a bit, as you were suddenly picked up princess style. "You're so impatient. You know that?" You could hear the smile in his voice, as you were gently put down. "Okay... Now." You took the blindfold off quickly, standing in awe of what you saw. There was a picnic blanket nicely placed on the grass. The tree by the blanket was covered in small twinkly lights. You felt arms wrap around your waist, as Donnie bent down a bit to rest his head on your shoulder. "D-do you like it?" You smiled, turning a bit so that you could place a kiss on your lover's lips. "I love it." you whispered against his lips. You looked in your arms to see that Donnie had handed you a picnic basket earlier. You held the basket handle in one hand, and with the other, you pulled Donnie with you, finding a perfect spot for the both of you to sit.

You sat contently, your back against Donnie's chest, as you both watched the stars twinkling above you. "Would you like to open your present?" You nodded excitedly, as he handed you a small box. You opened it carefully, incase it was breakable. Your eyes widened, as you pulled out the silver chain. There was a beautiful light purple stone attached. "It's beautiful Donnie.." he gently took it from you, as he placed it around your neck. You turned around in his lap, letting him see. "Well?" He placed a kiss on your forehead. "Beautiful.. you're so beautiful.." he placed a gentle kiss on your lips. He stayed hovered over your lips. "I love you (y/n)." You smiled, a light blush tinting your cheeks. "I love you Donnie." He smiled brightly, pulling you into a bone crushing hug, which resulted in the both of you laying on the ground, as he pressed light kisses on your jaw and neck, whispering little 'I love you's' every now and again.
