You began to run faster, trying to get as far from the foot as possible. You had heard rumors about their existence, but you never actually thought they were real. You were dead wrong. You turned the corner, slamming into someone's chest, and falling to the ground. Before you could see who you ran into, you were picked up by your (h/l/c) hair, causing you to let out a loud cry in pain. You looked at your captor, coming face to face with a girl around your age. She had hatred and anger in her amber eyes. You let out a light gasp as you felt something cold press to your neck. You felt the tears you had been trying to hold past slip down your cheeks gracefully. "Leonardo!" She yelled. "Show yourself! You wouldn't want to be the cause of an innocent girls death!" Your mind blanked at that word. Death. Without thinking, you drew back your arm and elbowed the girl roughly in the stomach. You didn't make it far, the other members of the foot quickly catching you, and pinning your arms to the wall. "Let go of me!" You growled, as you started to struggle. The girl scoffed as she drew nearer and nearer, a look of pure hatred plastered on her face. "I was going to let you go, but now?" She chuckled a bit, raising the kantana she had in her hand. You closed your eyes, preparing yourself for the inevitable. You quickly opened your eyes when you heard a hiss of pain. "Leave her out of this Karai." You heard someone drop down off of what you assumed was the rooftop. "Miss? Could you please close your eyes." You listened to your savior, closing your eyes before hearing the sounds of metal on metal and fighting. Before you knew it, your hands were released and you crumbled to the ground. Silence filled the air, as you kept your eyes closed tighter than before. "Ma'am? You can open your eyes now. They're gone." You slowly opened your (e/c) eyes, revealing a man about your age. He had short black hair, yet his bangs still fell in front of his face slightly. His eyes were a deep blue. You blushed a bit, finally realizing he was your hero. "Thank you for saving me... Um.." He chuckled a bit, holding his hand out for you to grab. "Leonardo. Leo for short." You smiled, grabbing his hand. "(Y/n). It's very nice to meet you Leo." He pulled you up a bit rougher than planned, causing you to fall into his chest. You quickly pulled back, feeling as though your face may explode. You looked up at him, seeing a soft pink dusting his cheeks. "H-hey um." He cleared his throat before speaking again. "I have to go.. My brothers are waiting for me but." He softly took your hand, pulling a pen out of nowhere. He scribbled something on it, smiling a bit as he closed your fingers around your hand. "For if you're ever in trouble again." You smiled, as he turned around. "Leo, wait." You said, as he faced you. You walked up to him, standing on your tip toes as you placed your lips gently on his cheek. "My hero." You giggled, looking at the goofy smile plastered on Leo's face. You turned and left the dazed Leo behind. You looked down at your hand, pulling out your phone and entering the 10 digits of your hero. You placed a little blue heart by his name, smiling as you repeated his name in your head.
