Alexandra smiled on the set of the Wendy Williams show, in New York City. When she asked her publicist if it was a good idea to go, she said:
Alexandra's publicist: Yeah. If she asks something that you wouldn't answer to your mom, don't answer it. Some of these are tabloid bombs so avoid any baby rumors, marriage rumors, (In a lower tone) gay rumors.
Alexandra's eyes widened.
[On the show]
Wendy: So I've seen pictures of you with the rapper, Drake.
Wendy showed the crowd a picture of Alexandra and Aubrey leaving a dinner hot spot. Alexandra in a blue OVO Hoodie, jeans and wedge sneakers and Aubrey in a Dream Crew shirt and jeans and Timbs. They both had on shades and were hand in hand, getting into a white Range Rover. Alexandra blushed at the picture and looked back as the crowd oohed at the picture.
Wendy: What's up with that? What's going on with you two?
Alexandra wasn't wearing her engagement ring.
Alexandra: Umm, we're just hanging out. He's a really good person, you know? I like spending time with him, he likes spending time with me. We bring out something else in each other.
Wendy (Shaking her head and holding her tea): So does this mean you two are an item?
Alexandra smiled.
[Flashback]
Alexandra and Aubrey were on the computer in the office looking at pictures of them leaving places.
Aubrey: What are you gonna tell people?
Alexandra (Speaking from the computer): Well...what do you want me to say?
Aubrey (sitting on the desk facing Alexandra): You can say whatever you want. As long as its nothing bad. I don't want you messing up my reputation. (With a slight laugh)
He smiled and kissed her forehead.
[On The Show]
Alexandra: All I can say is that we're something special. I'm not gonna put him out there but, I see so much good in him. I wouldn't do anything to hurt him.
Alexandra felt amazing that she was able to acknowledge her relationship with Aubrey. It was liberating. It made her feel a lot more connected to him and it was her way of showing how much she cared about him and that she wouldn't let anything slow them down and she wasn't gonna deny anything that they had. Their flow was just right for once and she didn't want anything to comprise that.
Wendy: I think that you guys make a lovely couple.
Alexandra (Smiling): Thank you.
Wendy: How has he dealt with your ordeal?
Alexandra didn't loose her confidence.
Alexandra: Um, he's been amazing. He greeted me when I came back, he spent some time with me in the hospital. But I'm saying way too much. (With a nervous laugh and covering her mouth)
Alexandra laughed. She didn't wanna give away too many details because it was jinxing what they had. Most successful relationships aren't blabbed on a syndicated talk show that came on before you learned how to cook Salmon 3 different ways on another. Bottom line: Alexandra needed a question switch. And fast.
Wendy: How did your parents feel about it?
No one knew about Alexandra's situation with her parents. No one had ever seen her out with her parents. And she was starting to realize that he was actually relatively high profile to just be a model. But her associations and secretiveness made her a lot more alluring to the press. Her quietness at fashion shows, her straight to the point answers in interviews and her innocent look made her more popular than what her job allowed. Her association with one of the most highly anticipated artists made her more interesting.
