Aubrey was working out in the gym and Alexandra was in the office looking at her new headshots while she was listening to some of the rough cuts of Aubrey's new album. Everyone else were in various parts of the house. It was a slow day since they'd just got back from the mansion in Miami. Aubrey texted her once he was finished lifting.
Aubrey: Come to the gym.
Alexandra left her phone and went to the work out room which seemed to be pitch black.
Alexandra (Looking around): Aubrey? Aubrey?
Aubrey grabbed Alexandra and pushed her up against the far wall of the gym. Aubrey pulled up Alexandra's leg and pressed up against her hard. She dug her nails into his shoulder.
Alexandra (Between breaths): What are you doing?
Aubrey (Pinning down Alexandra's arms against the wall): Don't worry about it.
Aubrey pushed harder and kissed her neck softly.
Aubrey (Squeezing her arms harder and in a whisper): Say my name.
Alexandra couldn't speak. Everything she said was an loud whisper that wasn't audible. Aubrey let go of her arms and took her down to a work bench. Aubrey kept going in a aggressive and sensual way. The way that he kissed her. The way that he held her. The way that he pressed up against her. It was such a surprise but a much needed one. It was more than just the act, it showed that Aubrey was still aggressive about their relationship. The harder Aubrey pushed, the harder Alex dug her nails into him. Every time he kissed her neck she let out a small breath. Aubrey could go for hours but Alexandra couldn't take it anymore. Not like this. Not this good.
Alexandra (In a loud gasp, pulling his hair): AUBREY!
Aubrey smiled after a minute or so, kissed Alexandra and got up. He gave her a long kiss on the forehead and helped her up. They got up and adjusted their clothes. He led her out of weight room and walked to the dinning room. Everyone was passing around take out and champagne. They typically don't have time for family dinners but one had formed tonight. Alexandra and Aubrey sat at the head of the table.
Aubrey: Ok. So about the BET Awards.
Everyone cheered about his 12 nominations.
Aubrey: We can't go.
Alexandra looked at Aubrey and everyone's face dropped. Alexandra touched Aubrey's hand.
Alexandra: Are you sure about this? You're up for a lot.
Aubrey (Looking at Alexandra): I wanna finish the album. I wanna give the fans my best album yet.
Everyone shook their head.
Noah: Well I support you. Nothing Was The Same is gonna be classic bro.
Alexandra was glad that Aubrey stopped procrastinating with his album but she thought she would've been included in making the decision to not go. It would be an outrage to his fans if he didn't go. But Aubrey was looking at it from a fan's perspective. He would've rather given them an amazing album than show up to an award show that shaded him half of the time. He had his priorities sorted out already. After dinner and some clubbing, Aubrey laid in his bed for a few hours of sleep. Alexandra decided to stay home and when she heard Aubrey come into the room, she came out of the bathroom and laid beside him. She took a deep breath as they looked up at the canopy.
Alexandra: You've made it.
Aubrey: The ride isn't over yet.
Aubrey looked over at Alexandra and grabbed her hand. His gaze, drunken and random was content and at peace. He partied and drank with his friends/family and now was coming home to the girl of his dreams.
Aubrey: Continue on it with me.
Alexandra felt something in her hand. At that moment, Ryan peeked into their bedroom.
Ryan: Hey, uhh. You got some condoms?
Alexandra and Aubrey sat up and Aubrey when with Ryan to get some condoms and Alexandra looked down at the diamond engagement ring. Honestly, she thought he gave it back, lost it, broke it or forgot about it. Alexandra looked at it then sat it beside her when Aubrey came back.
Aubrey (Climbing back onto the bed): Seems like everyone needed condoms.
Aubrey laid beside Alexandra. He looked at her waiting for an answer. It didn't have to be the "right" answer. It just had to be an answer.
Alexandra: What made you give this back to me?
Aubrey: It's yours, Alex. No one else in this house wears a size 7 ring. And besides, you're perfect. You live in a house with at least 10 other guys and you're okay with it. You've gotten into bar fights, twitter blasts, paparazzi bombs. You're smart, you're beautiful. You cook. You are AMAZING in bed...
Alexandra got on top of Aubrey.
Aubrey (Lowering his tone): You're spontaneous.
Alexandra (Kissing him): Just tell me what you want to happen and it'll happen. (Kissing him again) For the both of us.
Aubrey smiled and went into his pocket.
Aubrey: I gave out like 6 of these but I got one more left for you.
Aubrey tackled Alexandra in a playful fashion and they rolled off the bed. Aubrey fell on top of Alexandra and kissed her. He stopped undressed her and looked into her eyes.
Alexandra: What?
Aubrey (Getting up and pulling Alexandra up with him): I've changed so much with you. For you.
Alexandra: Is that a bad thing?
Aubrey: No.
He put on an OVO hoodie and went downstairs to the safari room. Alexandra followed him. They sat together silently before Aubrey turned on the TV.
Alexandra: Wait. I don't understand what's going on. What just happened?
Aubrey: This industry. This life. Changes you. And I feel like I've changed the most when I'm with you.
Alexandra: Okay...
Aubrey (Looking at her): Do you think you've changed with me?
Alexandra: I feel like I'm different. Yeah.
Aubrey: Do you feel like you wanna marry me?
Alexandra hesitated at first. She took some time to think. Then finally answered.
Alexandra: I feel like with the whole exes and cheating thing...we shouldn't bring that into a marriage.
Aubrey looked at Alexandra.
Aubrey: Do you think we should be together?
Alexandra: Well, what are we right now?
Aubrey: I don't know. One minute we are something. The next minute we not. You know me. I wanna settle down.
Alexandra: I know you do. But why do you wanna rush things?
Aubrey: I wanna know that the girl that inspires me. Will always be there to inspire me.
Aubrey moved closer to her, biting his lip.
Alexandra (Looking at his lips): I will. I believe in people like you.
