Alexandra was working in the office of her store, Boutique de Alexandra. She was filling out sheets for the past couple of months' register tabs and walked in front of her desk to greet Aubrey as he walked in with a big smile.
Alexandra (With a smile): How did the song go?
Aubrey (Still kissing Alexandra): The fans loved it. They went crazy! I can't wait for the Fest.
Alexandra lost her balance and leaned on her desk. Aubrey was still holding Alexandra as she swiped some stuff off the front of her desk and kept kissing Aubrey. The longer they went at it, the harder Aubrey got. Aubrey took off Alexandra's chiffon blouse and she took of Aubrey's Versace belt. Aubrey picked her and laid Alexandra down on the chase lounge in her office. The first stroke was like water quenching a dying thirst. Alexandra pulled at Aubrey's hair but realized she cut it for OVO Fest. This wasn't a random hook up. It was random but they always had sex after Aubrey released a song and this was especially needed because he was setting up OVO Fest in Toronto and Would You Like A Tour. But this wasn't usual Alexandra and Aubrey sex. This wasn't bathroom sex or plane sex or in the kitchen or anywhere else. Nothing was the same after his Grammy. It was like things had gotten better. In so many ways. Alexandra was starting to see a cockier side of Aubrey. It was such a fucking turn on to her though. Things between them were better. Way better. They had a more sincere connection. And once Alexandra got a hold of herself, she made it a lot easier for Aubrey to focus on his work and finish his album, prepare for his tour and ready his festival. When they were finished Alexandra got up and began looking around for her clothes and Aubrey stayed on the chase lounge, tying up his Jordans and putting his shirt back on. Alexandra jumped up and down, trying to put on her jeans. Then she searched for her blouse and put it back on when she found it.
Alexandra (Pulling her hair back into a sleek ponytail): My mom's coming to town.
Aubrey: That's not something I would think someone would say after they cum.
Alexandra laughed and sat with Aubrey on the chase lounge.
Alexandra: Well, our relationship has been a huge secret. Your friends didn't really know much about me until I moved in unofficially. I told my mom about us and I want her to know about the engagement. Face to face.
Aubrey put his arm around Alexandra.
Aubrey: Why isn't your dad coming?
Alexandra realized that she never told Aubrey about her dad. Her family was never really a topic and because of that a lot of weird features of Alexandra went unidentified and not confronted. Out of all of her fears and secrets and skeletons, her parents were left untouched. She stared off.
Aubrey: Why is it like I know nothing about your family but you're apart of my family? We don't even have a date for the wedding.
Alexandra: Because they never came up and you made me your family. Your family made me your family. And that doesn't mean that we won't get married. I'm waiting for you to get all of this major stuff out of the way.
Aubrey: Alexandra, just tell me about your parents.
Alexandra: Fine. (She paused) They're not entirely black. There. My secret's out.
Alexandra laughed then looked at Aubrey. Who was not laughing.
Aubrey: I'm serious.
Alexandra: Look, when she comes, we'll go dress shopping and I'll tell her about the engagement. When we leave for Toronto, that's when I'll think about the date.
Aubrey smiled at Alexandra who blushed.
Aubrey: You're a good girl and you know it.
Alexandra: It's hard to be that way alone.
Aubrey (Putting his arm around Alexandra completely and pushing her closer): So when we get married. We go to Toronto?
Alexandra: For good?
Aubrey: Something like it. Only if you want.
Alexandra: I'll think about it.
Aubrey went back home to ready every to leave for Toronto and Alexandra's mom came to California. They were at a Calabasas nail salon, getting pampered and Alexandra decided to tell her mother there.
Alexandra (While multiple people worked on their hands and feet as they rested in massage chairs): Mom.
She looked over and smiled at Alexandra.
Angel: Yes.
Alexandra: I'm engaged.
Angel: WHAT?!
Alexandra: To a rapper.
Angel: WHAT?!?
Alexandra: He's from Canada.
Angel (She took her feet out if the water they were soaking in): Ok. Wait. Pause. That "Find Your Love" boy?
Alexandra (Nervously laughing): Umm. Yeah him. I wanted to take you dress shopping.
Angel sat there. She was happy and disappointed and excited and proud and surprised all at the same time. Her baby girl was grown up. And she was marrying a really good guy.
Angel: You know what? I'm really proud of you sweetheart. I can't wait to meet him. You two are really lucky to have each other.
Alexandra (Looking at her freshly filed nails): Yeah. He's looking to meet you two...and my dad.
Angel: Why haven't you told him?
Alexandra: Because, how do you tell someone about the legitimacy of your birth?
Angel: Because you're legit because of me and because you did something for yourself. This boy loves you and if you don't tell him he's probably gonna lose some trust in you.
When Alex and her mother were finished with their girls day and she found a dress idea she finally liked, she went back home to Aubrey so everyone could leave for Toronto. When they were boarded and on the jet, Alexandra sat beside Aubrey with a smile.
Aubrey: What?
She kept smiling at him. Everything and everyone went on with whatever they were doing as they sat in their little world.
Alexandra (Grabbing his face): After OVO Fest. Me. You. Everyone on this plane. Our mothers. Your father. Let's do it. Lets stop waiting.
Aubrey smiled at her.
