Alexandra: I'm pregnant.
Aubrey's eyes widened. Everything made more sense but it was such a shock to him. It was the most surprising news of his life.
Aubrey: You've gone to the doctors?
Alexandra shook her head in tears. She could've just ruined their lives.
Alexandra: I think I want to get an abortion.
Aubrey got up.
Aubrey: WHAT?! Why?
Alexandra: Because we both have way too much going on for us to have a baby. We're not even married yet.
Aubrey: But that's a baby. You make time for that. You make room for that. And we should both know that being married has nothing to do with raising a baby successfully.
Aubrey started to walk out to the kitchen and Alexandra followed him.
Alexandra: Look, I didn't wanna be in the situation but I feel like this would be the best thing right now.
Aubrey stopped at the kitchen counter. He was so angry he was slowly turning red.
Alexandra: I knew I had to tell you before I made the decision. But we can try again later. Like a few years from now? After everything settles down.
Aubrey didn't hear anything she just said.
Aubrey: So when were you gonna tell me? Once you started showing or after you got the abortion?
Alexandra made a face. She pushed Aubrey out of anger.
Alexandra: How the hell would you say that?! I wanted to include you because I didn't wanna make a brash decision.
Aubrey: Well how am I gonna be happy if you want to abort our baby. It's not like we're an ongoing one night stand. You're not a girl in a song or a music video or a publicist hook up. I want to marry you.
Alexandra: Do you even know how complicated it would be to give birth if I do? I'm doing this for me. I'm doing this for us. Please just understand.
Alexandra tried to touch Aubrey's arm. He pulled away and started to walk away from Alexandra.
Aubrey: You're being selfish.
Alexandra tried to touch him again and once again Aubrey pulled away and shouted at her.
Aubrey: Stay the hell away from me.
Aubrey stormed off and left the mansion. Alexandra felt sick and threw up for the rest of the afternoon. She laid on the couch until Aubrey showed back up 6 hours later. He found her in the living room and sat in a chair across from the couch. He looked at Alexandra and sighed.
Aubrey: I thought about this and I know that you're thinking for the both of us but this is a baby. A baby. Something that we both knew we wanted just sometime along the road.
Alexandra didn't really think she wanted a baby at all. She wasn't sure of how she could take care and raise a baby and have a positive attitude about it. It wasn't because of her. It was because of how she was made to feel when she was younger. But she knew her parenting style could and would be different because of that. But she didn't want to lose Aubrey. And that the same time this would be a huge compromise.
Alexandra: This is not along the road. Don't you think this could be a little rushed? Like us...
Alexandra got up from the couch. When she got to their bedroom, her phone rang.
Doctor: Hi, this is Doctor Stevenson. Is this Alexandra Mitchell?
Alexandra (searching for her purse or at least her keys): Yes.
