Bree's POV

It's almost three in the morning when I arrived here in Sydney. The 12 hours train ride was really exhausting. It's freezing outside, good thing I decided to wear tight jeans and a leather jacket covering my thin shirt over my slender body. My cute black beanie also compliments the style. I brought one pink suitcase with me and a big sling bag where my new camera and some important stuff are kept. This vacation wouldn't be that bad being away from Dad for a week. I just wish he's doing fine at home. He's the sweetest person ever. He bought me a new camera just for this whole trip. He said that I should take pictures of everything so by the time I get home; he'll see all the beautiful places I went to.

I also bought a map to guide my whole trip in this unfamiliar place. After that, I ride a cab on my way to the hotel my Dad has referred for me to stay in for a week. I must say, he has got it all figured out before I could even get here. He's really the sweetest.

As I get off the cab, the sight of the bay already catches my eye under the still dark blue sky, the moon and stars lighting it up. It looks amazing with lines of yachts resting on the docks. I hand the cabbie few dollars and he helps me unload my suitcase from the trunk; a very helpful gesture for a girl who couldn't carry her own suitcase.

"Here you go, Miss. Have a great day and welcome to Sydney!" He greets with a wide grin in his face. The stubble in his face gives me the impression that he forgot to shave for few days.

"Thank you, Sir! Have a great day as well." I answered with a smile.

As I head inside the hotel lobby and towards the counter, I am looking around, psyched at what the hotel looks like. The floor was made of marbles, reflecting the big chandelier lit up from the ceiling. Wow, this hotel is huge. Thanks Dad! It looks like he's going to make my entire stay all worth it.

"Bree Lawrence." I said to the receptionist.

"Bree--Law--rence." The receptionist spells out my name as she types some info on her computer. "Okay Ma’am, your suite is on the 7th floor, room number 707. Have a nice stay! If you must need anything, you can just call the room service." She handed the card key, beaming at me and I grab it reciprocating a sweet smile.

As I head towards the elevator, a sight of a guy has caught my eye. He is wearing grey pants and a green hoodie. I can tell that he's good-looking even with his shades on. Really, Bree?Good-looking? Since when did you care if a guy is good-looking or not? I have the slightest idea of what he really looks like because of his hood and shades almost covering his whole face. Why is he wearing sunglasses at this time anyway? It's still dawn, is it? It’s so weird.

As he enters the elevator, he leans against the wall and keeps his face sulked in his phone. Texting or checking emails maybe. But it was none of my business.

I keep a straight face towards the door and entered the metal box as well. The door closes and I press the 7 button. There are only the two of us and total silence covers the enclosed huge lift with only the ding-sound produced by the elevator heard as we go one floor up. I can sense little movements the other passenger was making as well as mine. My right shoulder is leaning adjacent to the wall the guy is leaning against, turning my back on him. I heard him laughing but holding himself back, he probably read a funny text or something so I didn't mind.

I felt a slight aching on my neck and feel the urge of massaging it. Must've been the 12 hours train ride. I bend my right arm and grasp the back of my neck, massage it lightly while tilting my head side by side at least to ease the ache.My left hand is holding my suitcase to keep it steady. I can't wait to just go lie down on my soft bed and just sleep this off. I’m really, really tired.
