~Dean's POV~
The days went by, no bad hunts, everyone was safe and things were going well. For Sammy and I at least. Hannah kept having nightmares about home and hunting and was now scared to fall asleep. Sam and I tried our best to soothe her into sleeping, but nothing seemed to work. We tried reading to her, we tried telling her they were just dreams, but nothing seemed to help. I was putting her to bed one night when she came up with her own idea.

"Dean?" She asked.

"Yeah, kiddo?"

"I'm scared to sleep. Could you maybe sing to me? I know it's stupid, but I used to listen to my mom sing me to sleep when I was younger before my dad went crazy." She explained.

"Honey, I don't sing. I occasionally sing along to the radio, but I don't sing." I replied. I didn't want to embarrass myself.

"Please, Dean. It can be whatever song you want." She begged. I finally caved. I decided to sing a slower song called Angeles. (A/N: I was looping Angeles sung by Jensen a lot and singing it fits the plot so I figured why not.). I loved the lyrics, although talking about Hollywood specifically, and how they say that society tries to boss you around and make you do what it wants, but you are your own person who does what needs to be done and what makes you happy, not what you're told to do. She had kind of felt the same way. Her parents hurt her and tried to make her think what they wanted her to about being loved and everything else, but we saved her.

"Alright, honey. This is called Angeles. Promise me you'll try to sleep as I sing." I asked of her. She nodded.

"I promise." She replied.

Someone's always coming around here
Trailing some new kill
Says I see your picture on a hundred dollar bill
What's a game of chance to you
To him is one of real skill
So glad to meet you, Angeles

Picking up the ticket shows there's
Money to be made
Go on and lose the gamble
That's the history of the trade
Did you add up all the cards left to play
To zero and sign up with evil, Angeles

Don't start me trying now.
Cause I'm all over it, Angeles.

I could make you satisfied in everything you do
All your secret wishes could right now be
Coming true
Spend forever with my poison arms around you
No one's gonna fool around with us
No one's gonna fool around with us
So glad to meet you, Angeles

Her eyes finally closed at the end and she was out. I pulled the covers to her chin and turned around to walk out. Sam was standing at the door with a surprised look on his face.

"What?" I asked in a whisper.

"Nothing. Just listening. You're really good, Dean." He answered.

"Thanks." I followed Sam out and sat at one of the main tables.

"Why don't you ever sing?" He asked. I didn't think he had ever heard me sing before.

"It's embarrassing for starters, and because I've never really had a reason to. I didn't want to baby you as a kid so I didn't then and I haven't had a reason to until now." I replied and explained.

"Well, you're good. She really liked it. She's real attached to you, you know?" Sam asked.

"What do you mean?" I asked. I was so confused. I had no idea what he was getting at.

"Just that you mean the world to her, Dean. I could tell just by looking at her that she thought you were the coolest person ever for agreeing to sing to her. You're the one she runs to when she's scared and when she has nightmares. She absolutely adores you." Sam explained.

"I know. She's kind of always been that way. It's sweet. Well, I'm going to bed. Goodnight." I answered.

"Goodnight."

I climbed in bed, but had trouble falling asleep. I kept thinking about Hannah. I kept hoping I wasn't gonna let her down since she was so attached to me. I had always thought from the beginning that she would be more attached to Sam, but she wasn't.

I got up in the morning and Sam looked like he had urgent news and Hannah looked upset.

"What did I miss?" I asked.

"Crowley. We have to go. I'm gonna get Cas to stay with Hannah." Sam stated. Hannah lost another tear.

"How urgent is this Crowley stuff?" I asked. I hated hurting Hannah.

"Crowley says its urgent. I don't know details. I just know where he is and that it's urgent."

"Ok. Call Cas then." I told Sam. We called Cas and he suddenly appeared. Sam explained everything, and surprisingly, he was on board with it. I was thinking about how this was affecting Hannah. I saw her sitting there, tears flowing down her face. We were breaking her heart and there was nothing we could do about it.

"Come on Dean, let's go." He stated, snapping me out of my thoughts. I nodded and walked up to Hannah.

"Hey, kiddo. I'm sorry, but we have to go on this case. It's important. We'll be back. Cas is a good guy." I explained.

"Dean, don't leave me." She begged softly.

"I'll be back. I'll never leave you. I promise. I love you, Hannah." I promised before kissing the top of her head, grabbing my duffel bag and heading out with Sam.

"I love you too!" She hollered before we shut the door.
