I walked out and saw Dean at a table with a beer. "You wanted to talk?" I asked. He looked down and may have had a tear in the corner of his eye.

"What the hell am I doing to her, Sam?" He asked.

"What do you mean?" I asked. I sat down in front of him. I was truthfully very confused.

"I'm breaking her heart day after day. I'm making her scared of me without even realizing it. I'm hurting her over and over." Dean explained, the saddest I'd seen him in a long time.

"Dean, you're not trying to and she gets that. The only times you've hurt her recently weren't you're intention. You hurt her when we didn't show up, but you couldn't help that. You hurt her when you were mad yesterday, but that was because of other stuff. You weren't really mad at her. You hurt her because she thought you were mad today but you weren't trying to come across that way. So you didn't know you were scaring her, well now you do. She's gonna be more ok now. She knows we aren't kicking her out. I know you care a lot about what she thinks of you. I do too, but Dean, I can assure you, she still absolutely adores you. You are her favorite person in the world. Don't be so hard on yourself." I told him. He beat himself up for everything and I felt so bad for him.

"Thanks, Sammy. I guess you're right. As long as she knows I wasn't trying to. I'm sure she's asleep but if she's still up, will you make sure she knows that? Please. I just don't want to hurt her anymore." He begged.

"I'll go check." I offered. I walked to her room and peeked in. She still appeared to be up. "Hannah?" She looked at me.

"What's wrong?" She asked.

"Dean wanted me to ask you something. You know that he never wants to or means to hurt you, right?" I asked gently.

"I know that. I know he doesn't try to, and I know he's not ever meaning to. Tell him I say it's ok and I love him a lot." I nodded and left.

"She knows that, Dean. She said to tell you that it's ok and that she loves you a lot." A small smile appeared on his face and he seemed to perk up a bit. "I'm going to bed. See you in the morning." I added.

"Thanks." He replied.

"Of course." I stated before patting his shoulder with reassurance and going to my room.

~Dean's POV~

Sam headed to bed and I just sat there, finishing my beer. Suddenly, I heard a whisper behind me. "Dean." I turned around and Hannah was standing there in her PJs.

"Hey. What are you doing up?" I asked quietly.

"I know you're upset too and I wanted to give you a hug so you'd feel better." She stated quietly. I got up and crouched down to her level. She gave me the tightest hug she's ever given me. "Are you ok, now?" She asked as she was in my arms.

"I'm ok, sweetie. I'm ok. I'm sorry if I've ever hurt you. You said you know, but I never try to and I never want to. I don't want you to be scared of me anymore." I calmly assured her.

"It's ok, Dean. I know. I love you, daddy." She replied.

"I love you too, kiddo. Now, you should get back to bed. It's late." I urged. She nodded. I set her down and put her back to bed. "Goodnight, Hannah."

"Goodnight, Daddy." She answered before I left the room. I finished up my beer then went to sleep.
