Dean
It had been over 24 hours since he'd given her his number she hadn't called. Maybe he'd gone a little far, after all, he'd challenged her expertise as an attorney. In actuality, he wasn't as confident in his case as he made out. He'd remembered Sam's reaction when he'd found of the name of the prosecuting attorney."Maria Ramirez-Santos?! Oh my god. Oh my god." Sam cried.
"What? Who is she?" He asked his brother.
"One of the best lawyers in Texas. She's won some practically impossible cases." The younger man sighed, taking a seat.
"Be honest, do we stand a chance here Sam?" He said. Sam rubbed his head slowly.
"I don't know Dean."He checked his phone again, but he knew full well she hadn't called or texted. 'The hell? I'm acting like a chick!' He scolded himself and threw his phone on the bed and left the room. He resigned himself to watching re-runs of Dr. Sexy MD with a bowl of chips and a beer.
When he was jerked from sleep, he had no idea what time it was. His living room was pitch black with the exception of the light from the TV and he had chip crumbs all over his shirt. He was uncertain why he'd woken up until there was another shrill ringing from his porch. He set the bowl down and brushed himself off, yelling to Sam that he was coming.
But when he opened the door, it wasn't Sam. Maria stood there, shifting from one foot to the other.
"Did you just wake up?" She said, her left eyebrow arched. Dean ran a hand through his hair.
"Guilty. Did you miss me so much you couldn't just call?" He flirted.
"I came to get my jacket." She said bluntly.
"Sure you did." Dean muttered, unconvinced. "Come in."He stepped aside and she paused for a moment.
"Don't be shy, it's not like you haven't been here before." He snorted and walked away, in the direction of the coat closet. He pulled her leather jacket from one of the hooks and handed it to her. She folded over her forearm and turned to leave."Leaving so soon?" He called after her, she glanced at him over her shoulder.
"What does it look like?"
"Stay for a drink." He offered, she stopped with her hand on the door.
"Because that ended so responsibly the first time." Sarcasm laced her tone.It didn't take much convincing for her to sit down for a beer.
Dean chuckled drunkenly as Maria straddled him on the couch, giggling profusely. Similarly to the night they'd met, one drink had quickly turned into multiple. She began tugging at his shirt determinedly, he helped her out and they got it off.
"That's not fair." Dean whined.
"What?" Maria snorted.
"We're uneven." He smirked, pulling hers over her head. "That's better." He grinned. She leant down and pressed her lips to his forcefully, he gladly reciprocated.
"This is the best conflict of interest ever."
"Hell, I'm interested." They murmured between kisses. Their sexually charged haze was interrupted by the ringing of Dean's cell phone."Ignore it." She whispered in his ear. He was so tempted to do as she said but he knew it'd be Sam.
"I can't it's my brother." He exhaled heavily and answered, desperately trying to sound like his neck wasn't being ravaged by their opponent. He put a finger to his lips and Maria nodded exaggeratedly."Heeey little brother."
"Dean are you drunk?" The kid knew him far too well. Maria failed miserably at stifling a giggle. "And are you with someone?" Sam didn't sound pleased in the slightest.
"Don't tell him who it is!" Maria whispered loudly.
"Dean I swear to God if that is Maria Ramirez-Santos I'm going to murder you."
